I've read that as just having to go a few rounds with the Black Serpent as well. Argalad's starting quest required that he combat and Defeat an orc to complete it.

Since the fight happened at Isengard, shouldn't Eleanor be sent to Lothlorien?

It's two steps, Fangorn --> Lothlorien
Edoras is three steps Gap of Rohan, Helms Deep, Edoras
and everywhere else is farther still.

If you think you can handle Gothmog I can give you the quest for a free "rest" in South Eaves. I think I brought him down to 5 HP so he shouldn't be TOO hard (although I'll admit our record on battling minions is a tad shaky so far this round ...)

Actually, that's *my* record. Argalad is 1/1 so far. And I'm also pretty sure that Gothmog is down to 5hp.

Just don't forget that he surrounds himself with peril.

Also remember that if you end up in Minas Tirith, Denethor is bat shit loco.

Just because you rest doesn't mean you can't go whup him; in fact I'd suggest you rest no matter what because otherwise you won't have cards to draw after Sauron's turn.

It may be worth mentioning at I could use a favor to get rid of my despairing corruption (limits my total number of favor, so definitely has to go) so if you could save 1 to lend me I'd be appreciative.

I'd recommend advancing whichever plot moves less quickly.

The slowest moving plot is the ring plot, but that isn't a choice anyway; Corruption and Conquest are both moving at 3. I think we have a better chance handling the Corruption plot, as it isn't being protected by the Serpent the way the Conquest plot is, but it's also a good bit more expensive to get rid of (6 favor! wow!)

yea, them's the breaks. my plots are continuing apace.

the red one is moving at 3 per turn
the black one is moving at 3 per turn
and the yellow one is moving at 2 per turn

the problem you guy's have is that black and red are the less advanced ones to date. So choose.... red or black to advance on Argalad's resting...

The peril card seems clear to me - I'd need 6 shields to get the favor/training reward, which is a bit too expensive for me right now.

PERIL - A Shadow in the Background of Their Memories - Any Location - If the hero's wisdom is less than or equal to the number of adjacent locations containing influence, he gains 1 Corruption card and loses 1 favor.
but I am not sure if The High Pass counts as an adjacent location or not, and stever is the impartial one in this.

if i can't play that, I'll play this:
PERIL - Undying Regret - Any Location in The Misty Mountains or Mirkwood (Green or Light Green Region) - Add 2 influence to the Shadow Pool. Sauron may then place 1 influence and monster token on any locations in the hero's current region (excluding the hero's current location).
-Can't add influence to a maxed out pool.
-Influence in gladden fields
-Monster in Fangorn
