So my wedding jewelry from Gemvara is in the country. YAY!
may possibly be getting delivered to my house today! YAYYYY!
Also, we have decided to make a crazy/awesome decision and purchase/order a Wax Stamp & Seal set, custom engraved, with the logo taht @#pipe designed for us for sealing the boxes for favours with.
9 years October this year. Known each other for 13.
It's good! It's real good. We complete each other in that sappy Jerry McGuire way.
She's a badass, driven, career engineer. I'm a flaky musician with cooking and homemaking skills. It works. Together we've made a home as far away as Hawaii and Washington DC. Currently we're back where we started, in Rhode Island, barely 5 minutes from the house we first rented when we first started living together. It's a little eerie, living here again.
My divorce was made official on April 23rd! We'd been separated for more than 2 years before that though, and now I'm expecting a child with my girlfriend of 18 months so it was all for the best.
We've talked about whether we'll get married and it's likely that we will down the line, though we've set the somewhat arbitrary pre-requisite of Australia legalising same-sex marriage before we do it - we both feel strongly about the cause, and it gives us a bit of a buffer so we don't have to think about it right away (although obviously it would be great if Australia legalised same-sex marriage sooner rather than later)
We eloped, too. Vegas, baby, vegas. Got married in t-shirts and shorts. We don't even have any photos from the weekend. It's a moment that lives only for us, only in our memories.
Also one of the greatest moments of my life was calling my parents after the deed was done and saying "Hey, guess where I am, and what I just did?" They loved it.

Take some time to do something just for you, not wedding related. Come back to the decision when you have a clearer head.

That way, it'll be a surprise for me and her!
