Okay stand back now 'cause I'm gonna explain DC Comics continuity!
There have now been three eras of main DC continuity:
PRE-CRISIS: 1939-1985. Began with the introduction of Superman in 1938. Ended with the story Crisis on Infinite Earths in 1985, which rebooted the continuity to make everything less confusing.
POST-CRISIS: 1985-2011. Began after Crisis on Infinite Earths, ended with Flashpoint, which again rebooted the continuity, this time just because they felt like it.
NEW 52: 2011-Present. Began after Flashpoint.
You're trying to make it sound simple but from the perspective of someone who hasn't read all those stories, I still get the impression that Marvel and DC are constantly rebooting, revamping, rejiggering, and readjusting the canon instead of ever concluding their serial narratives. Plus there's the annual Crossover Events. Who could possibly keep up with all of that.
This is why comics like Atomic Robo and Adventure Time are the best
Low barrier of entry for new readers, but long time followers are still rewarded

DC moreso than Marvel
Marvel Now! is about fifty times more inviting to new readers than DC's The New 52, partially because of less retconning and partially because it's less dumb as a fucking anchor
mostly just because Hawkeye fucking owns bones, though
in fact, I would go so far as to say that The New 52 is not even properly designed for new readers
As opposed to Marvel Now, which is clearly designed to get new readers into old mythos, 52 seems more engineered to make old readers go "ha! ha! ha! that is a witty nod to [insert bullshit reference #435]"
basically what I'm saying is, if you're new to COMIC BOOKS, don't even fucking bother with DC

Ah, ok. It was funny 'cause it was the only guest comic that I could immediately identify who drew it without looking at the credits. Also I would awesome your comic but it makes me teh sads.
Isn't it weird that Marvel has outpaced DC in terms of movies with the Avengers success, but DC had 3 - 5 different shows running in a single decade that all fed into one another in the same universe and fanned the flames in some sort of magical bonfire?

The DCAU being in the charge of just a few people was a big part of that.
I think Blackest Night was still pretty cool in a few(most?) of the monthlies
Brightest Day was 100% stark raving mad nonsense, however
Guy Gardner going Red is still a massive guilty pleasure for me
In retrospect Blackest Night did have a lot of cool moments and ideas (I really liked the premise for the event and Red Lantern Guy Gardner rules).
I didn't care for it cuz the entire event was built up as the end of days for the green lantern corps. So I expected something a bit more earthshaking for the corps. and DC universe than "12 superheroes everyone knew were gonna come back to life eventually are brought back to life, a dozen more supporting lanterns are dead, a few more guardians are dead, and the guardians learn nothing and continue to be dicks. Buy the next event series!"
Screw that.

You know, I can understand where you are coming from. Punching Bodie had a great build up and was pretty epic. At the same time though, I love this coming scene. The back and forth between the brothers is such fun to watch.
Funny story, Ashley only shows me the scripts for the comic very rarely (the comic goes from scripts, to thumbnails, to beta page, to posted page) but in the original script for this scene, Duane and Lemuel were shirtless, and the ladies of the temple gathered to watch surreptitiously. "Come quick! The Adeliers are fighting!" Or something like that (it was several months ago that I read that script) It made me LOL. Alas, it didn't really make sense/jive with other parts of the chapter, so it was scrapped. In my head canon I still like to imagine gawking ladies just off screen. Maybe hiding in the trees.

Octopus Pie by Meredith Gran is a comic about egg salad
poor dr. gulpwiener. he’s a genius who’s had every job imaginable, but none of them work out
expect a lot more from this character! a lot of meat on this comedy bone
Monster Pulse is a story about smooth operators

Sinestro Corps War is unequivocally my favorite "major comic book arc"
Their New 52 incarnations are just so
fucking
bad

Starfire has always been emblematic of the objectification of super heroines
New 52 was not really different other than the fact that it came out in the 21st fucking century and we should be way past that shit already
Then blackest night happened which kinda soured me on green lantern so I stopped getting issues and resolved to come back after a while.
Then new 52 happened and I gave up on following DC altogether.
Brightest Day was 100% stark raving mad nonsense, however

she basically got turned into someone with no emotions other than "let's fuck" which is emotion in the same way that willpower is an emotion
so I'm pretty emotionally drained after this week, can I just lie down for three days now?
She has some good volume for someone that's wearing a shirt a couple sizes too small.
Let's Play Final Fantasy 'II' (Ch10 - 5/17/10)
Also I know you've did a guest comic for Ma3. Have you done any others?

I'm the president and the treasurer
but I can't read any comic with Duane without thinking of that one achewood

yeah, me too!
we're like this
Hell, while we're on the subject, I'd love to see some Unsounded in @MikeLL 's style too.

I'm sad again.
Also I kind of figured it would be something like this.
God I hate stories with unrequited love, they hit me right in the feelings.
