I learned a valuable lesson at PAX. I was dumb and only cleared out my streetpasses twice all weekend. So while I should have maxed out the streetpass badge, I only acquired the bronze. Now if only I could TT in real life. Also, if you change your ordinace to beautiful town one night and don't turn on your game for three days? THOSE THREE DAYS ARE LOST. Dead flowers everywhere!
In other news, I passed my first fashion check yesterday and Cesar moved in without warning this morning on his birthday. Thankfully, not in an orchard nor the flower grove. I guess AC was feeling sorry for my mistakes earlier in the week.

Getting paintings from villagers is an uncommon but not crazy rare event.
Yep. Sometimes they sell you one that they got from Redd and warn you that they don't know if it's genuine. Other times they'll just give or sell you one. So far it's always been genuine when they've done that.

I don't think I've ever gotten a genuine painting from a villager.
Feng Shui is supposed to increase your chance of getting a genuine painting from a villager. It also increases the chance that Red gets a genuine painting.
Chow offered me a Common Painting (I think it was that, at least) for ~3,000 bells today, and I said "Yes" and he goes, "Man, that's so cool of you that I'll just give it to you instead." and I was like "wat". It was genuine!
