I'm Leonard Nimoy. The following tale of The Halloween Thread is true.

I'm living in an actual neighborhood for the first time in 12 years, and I'm not sure how I'm going to deal with trick-or-treaters if they show up at the house. It's still weird seeing kids just running around in the street.
Also, I plan on working a bunch next month so I'm pretty sure I'm not going to any sweet Halloween parties.
I've never done any celebrating on Halloween since I grew out of trick-or-treating, but there are a ton of kids in this neighborhood so I know we'll be handing out candy if nothing else.

I hope you all are as creeped out by that video as I am, by the way
It is the most perfectly creepy thing

2. Go to a fabric store and buy some thin, cool, bright coloured fabric.
3. Cut the tops off all three hampers. Cut the bottoms off two of them. Cut the top and bottom horizontal wires out of the hampers and stitch together at the silver reinforced sections making sure the wire that coils up is aligned.
4. Measure the circular opening of the hamper. Cut a circle of fabric with about an inch bigger diameter.
5. Measure the height of the three connected hampers. Cut a rectangle of fabric the height by the circumference plus an inch. Stitch along the height sides to make a big tube of fabric.
6. Stitch the top circle to the tube. Slip the tube of fabric over the hampers.
7. Figure out where your arms will come out of the costume and cut corresponding holes in the fabric and hampers.
8. Cut 2 pieces of fabric the width of which is the diameter of the holes you cut in the hampers and about twice or 2.5 times as long as your arms.
9. You know this step - stitch the longs edges together to make two long, thin tubes.
10. Attached the arm tubes to the costume.
11. Cut a mouth hole in the fabric/hampers. It looks in the video like they stitched the fabric and hampers together at this opening.
12. Stitch on some circles of black and white felt to make eyes.
I went as Clark Kent one year. It's exceptionally easy, just get a business suit and some glasses, and then wear a Superman t-shirt underneath your button-up shirt, and have the button-up shirt partially unbuttoned. Easy to make and everyone should know what it is without much trouble.
Various Doctors from Doctor Who also have some easy costumes, but may have trouble getting some people to recognize what you are depending on where you're going. Though if you show up in a giant blue phone box that may help.
For anime fans, Jigen from Lupin III is reasonably easy to do and pretty recognizable (Lupin himself is more recognizable but a slightly harder costume since finding a red or green jacket that looks right isn't as easy).
Alternatively, Wayne or Garth from Wayne's World.

If you don't do this in a pair then I'm gonna feel real sorry for you.
I am going to a halloween party as Wario this year since I have the costume just sitting there after pax and how often do you get to wear purple overalls?
I've done all of those costumes as well (except I did Lupin because I already owned a red jacket)!
Also, one time I saw a guy in a Wayne costume at a party by himself, and the dude found a guy who looked like Garth (but wasn't wearing a costume) and hung around him the entire night, only to casually walk away when the dude turned around. It was magical.
I don't have a clue what I'm doing this year, though I suppose since I'm in a new city with new people I can go as Kent again
that just seems lazy though

provided there are any Halloween parties in the area I actually want to go to
You only need one party.
But I have to think of a costume to come up with in case Dan Hibiki doesn't happen, and that is seriously tripping me up.
How To:
1. Go to Ikea.
Buy 3 of these for 8 bucks a pop.
13. Get inside and flail around like a goose.
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.

Mmm yeah I get where the Peter Parker comparison comes from
