The cafeteria is serving soup in bread bowls today. @Donkey Kong can you ask small Chinese children how they feel about this?
Literally everything I describe of western food gets a "OH JUST LIKE HAMBURGER"
I was describing stuffed shrimp. "So you take the shrimp, cut off the head, peel it to the tail, cut here" (I am demonstrating with a full cooked shrimp). "Then you take crab meat, breadcrumbs, parsley, some wine and mix it up, roll it into a ball, curl the shrimp around it like this and then you bake"
"OH JUST LIKE HAMBURGER! EVERY AMERICAN FOOD LIKE HAMBURGER!"
(strawberries are so fragile that they're normally quite expensive outside of wealthy regions growing them natively, so I suspect the answer is "we don't eat strawberries on their own")

Chu, someday when I'm uber rich I will hire you as my homes personal IT dude.
I'll give you a cellphone that I can call when I need you.
"Hello sir Chubert. I need you to power on my Playstation 5. I am located on the third floor in the projector room. Do hurry."
Is this a racism trying to get them to pronounce "whipped cream" (I am not above this) or do you have some other humorous response in mind?
Also, I have not seen many berries here. Mostly just melons.
my father once told me once of a man from indochina putting salt on the strawberries that were for dessert, because sweet and sweet was wrong to him, and I wondered about the cuisine of the people around you
'the IT thing'... oh god, i already have enough class consciousness
can't you fancy up the way my aspirations sound
i don't want to fix printers, for god's sake
*eats fusilli with red wine braised octopus and bone marrow*
yes. channel this shameless foodieism into planning the fancy pax dinner
i am ruling by small, elite committee this time around
asking everyone for input was so terrible
i'll pick a couple of locals, a couple of foodie friends
WHICH SOUNDS BEST WHAT MENU OK THAT TOOK 8 MINUTES I'M DONE
direct democracy is not for closers
Is there not a Guy's American Kitchen & Bar in Boston yet?
I imagine I am mad disqualified from committee membership due to my proclivity for ironic dining.
.... I went to Guy's for this reason with my bff
we had one drink and it was terrible and there were terrible people at the bar and the food looked okay but it was like a fancy applebees

I basically dragged the NY/NJ thread there for a full dinner when chu came to visit. Half the group was in gastric distress afterwards. I am basically Hitler.

my father once told me once of a man from indochina putting salt on the strawberries that were for dessert, because sweet and sweet was wrong to him, and I wondered about the cuisine of the people around you
i would not have picked up on that being coke in the wine glasses if one guy hadn't chosen something orange
not whipped cream
we had one drink and it was terrible and there were terrible people at the bar and the food looked okay but it was like a fancy applebees
