It'll help when I finally max out sorcerer and go back to magic archer as well. Then I can actually do things rather than just spamming fireballs.
I didn't try it, but supposedly the ideal way to fix it is to get a whole mess of potions that have the skills you want, and just overload them. The idea being that math wise they'll have +100 or so in the skills you want, and thus won't get overwritten with your own playstyle. Or at least for a while anyways.
Two potions for the secondary inclination.
Then two potions for the primary.
The primary will push the secondary down from max and overtake it.
Bam molded to your whims. What each inclination does and which two are best for each type of pawn depends on what you want and what class they are.
Matatabi knocked back more bottles of suspiciously dark liquid than an Irishman.
If you want your pawn to smash things with his hammer give him Scather.

I liked pioneer though. Pioneer secondary and scather primary will make your hammer warrior range far ahead of you, then scream and charge at the first big monster he see's every time.
Loooooved utilitarian in sorceror pawns though. Sometimes I wanna just boot up the game again and run around with three sorcs and a fighter. Triple bolide never gets old. I used to go four sorc outside BBI but you need at least one dude to distract them for a little while.
It's the jack-all-of-trades trait for pawns.

Maybe i'll just spam potions to get challenger to an absurd amount and leave it as the primary. Scather isn't going anywhere, since i'm pretty aggressive in attacking monsters.
collected my two pawns and set out through the garden of ignominy
death spawns, hired pawns are dumb and get ganked
own pawn does magnificently (love her) and we eventually scare him off
continue onto duskmoon because wyverns and curse dragons are goddamn jokes
only it wasn't a wyvern. it was a firedrake.
I DIDN'T SIGN UP FOR THIS.
after a long, difficult battle (i'm specced assassin for this, naturally and can't just lolspam ninefold)
he drops a goddamn level 3 weapon. fuck yes.
and he and the follow-up curse dragon dragonforge my shit so uh
mission accomplished

My main pawn maxxed warrior as well so I set her back to fighter. Is there any particular augment I should get from another class to help her in the fighter role, or will those two mostly cover it?
jesus mary and joseph
brain splitter with eminence is insane
it took me like, fifteen seconds to kill a cursed dragon
3 shots to kill a gorechimera

Quite a few hours later my opinion have changed dramatically. Why does no one talk about this game? The combat blows away every other open world game I've played in recent years. There are some issues to be sure, like the traveling system(kind of the extreme opposite end of the recent elder scrolls easy warp system) and the repetitiveness of some encounters, but the boss fights! The combat system! The lack of level scaling and hand-holding!
Sure the story is non-existent but I don't really play games to hear a story much anymore. I wish I would start discovering more dungeons and less chimeras though haha.
Also it doesn't care if you character is male or female or whatever you've done with your character setup, so you have things like a noblewoman hitting on my tween heroine.
Once you've had Arisen you never go back, baybee.

I suck.
I had to go on Easy mode because I suck so badly.
But my pawn is awesome, due to her being a arrogant but loyal commrade who cares about me. Also she grabs monster for me to kill.
Honestly awesome.
Also random, I've notice everyone loves talking about the game, not a lot about the story. I hear it's kinda crazy at the end.

I actually like the story quite a bit, it's just really easy to get off track because exploring is so fucking fun
But yes. This game is like an Elder Scrolls, if Elder Scrolls had combat that wasn't awful. The lack of attention it gets is criminal.
BTW, I just got a Cursed Light from BBI. Why are that one and Magebreaker almost impossible to find?

developments over the holidays:
picked up Blackwing Bow - fucking finally
picked up Devilsbane
just now picked up Oblivion Coat (completing the set)
as far as stuff i actually care about goes, i'm pretty well done
which is why, a few days ago, i made a new live profile and started an alt
that's a great scam
i can gift myself BBI cursed items, everfall gear, ur-dragon loot, and drag my alt pawn through BBI to earn Texas RC
one day, i hope to have my alt level enough where i can use two of my own pawns
suck it, randoms!
(i'm gonna try rolling a mystic knight, i.e. the warrior type character who's not completely incompetent at range)
People have doing the extra alt account from the beginning. The thing that could impact you would be stamina drain from the weapons if you don't have high enough level.

I'm a MK guy but MAs are also the most stylish class in the game. Haha.

it'll just be there when i need it without having to go through all the hoops i did last time
ascalon: not a great sword, level 140, post-BBI
probably a great sword at like, level 50
They are dependant on the elemental enchantment spells for the extra damage.
I've been toying with Dark Enchanter with my MK and I think I insta-killed a regular ogre.

Stability seems mandatory with all the dragons in the area.
