I love Wario Land 1, but I've had a hard time getting into the others :P

I have to say though, this might have been the best analysis of the whole Wario franchise I've heard:
    http://www.retronauts.com/?p=217

The gist being that Wario Land was created as sort of a mockery of Mario games. Wario controls kind of clumsy, like all the Mario-ripoffs from other companies. And whereas Mario games were very vertical (punching blocks, stomping enemies, etc), Wario was very horizontal. Etc. It's pretty interesting. (btw, actual discussion of Wario games starts ~10 mins in... the first 10 mins is random discussion of various virtual console releases)

Word to the wise for anyone on the US eShop and might be looking at Grinsia. Seems to be that the game's a "fire and forget" port title with some serious bugs and crash issues. They release one patch in two weeks to fix one serious bug, but nothing else.

It's supposed to be a pretty solid traditional RPG title but it's pretty plagued - I wouldn't recommend anyone touch it at this point. Particularly with no real fixes after almost three weeks.

Crossover DLC with Danganronpa that gives new boss fights and some other optional hard battles.
Outside of that, there's also some 'easier to get class item' time-saving DLC and a better 'starting weapons pack' and the like.

I really enjoyed it and recommend that you play it somewhere.

Note that I highly recommend the 3DS circle pad pro to play it though, and since you probably don't have one you should get the HD version.

If you do have a CPP, then you should get it on 3DS to have one more game that actually takes advantage of it!

Well I was going to ask about getting an external hard drive for the Wii U, but it looks like the Wii U version is still $49.99 before this discount, and it looks like I can just get a disc version for $13 on Amazon.

I guess I should go ahead and look into that external hard drive thing anyway though, I will be needing one eventually. Is there any unquestionable "best" one to use with the Wii U?

$20 normally, so the sale price is $10.

I'm looking at the eShop sale of Yoshi's Island, since I've never played the game before, and I notice that it is technically the GBA Super Mario Advance 3 version. Is there anything better/worse about this version I should know about?

It's worse. Some of the effects don't look as good because the GBA doesn't support them. The screen is also smaller so there are a few spots where you can't see the platform you're supposed to jump to, also Yoshi has a voice and his HNNNNNG sound effect.

      Still, it's Yoshi's Island.

Aw shucks. I might pass it up, then, in favor of either Zelda or Super Mario World. I played both as a kid, but never was able to finish them because I was even worse at games then than I am now.

That's a good thing. I can't imagine him NOT having that sound effect.

Wario Land 1 is the best of the series. The rest is garbage.

I liked the virtual boy Wario!

I keep hoping it will get a 3DS release. Pretty sure I'll never get to play that game, though.

Some of the effects don't just look worse, they are completely broken. For instance, fire balls that are supposed to pass from the background to the foreground will ALWAYS appear in front of Yoshi, even if they are supposed to be behind them. This makes it quite tricky to jump over them without taking damage. The original SNES version did not have this problem.

Has Dual Destinies ever gone on sale?
