Kuri watches quietly as the Nurse makes mention of the glowing Koffing. She gives Uzha a worried glance, which the impish spook returns with an insouciant smirk. If he's caught anything from attacking the altered Poison Type, it's clearly of no more irritation than the Shuppet's normal behavior.

Which is just as well. She's seen firsthand what things like Pokérus can do to a Pokemon, and the relentless stores of energy and drive for improvement it impresses upon them. Kuri is quite sure she wouldn't be able to handle her starter Pokemon if he was any more motivated to cause havoc.

Kuri lags behind as the group of first years and Professor Cherrybloom walk onward, Uzha hanging merrily noose-like from the tip of the umbrella held over her shoulder like a hobo's bindle. When the group arrives at the trio of buildings and the Professor leaves, Kuri scans the area carefully, making mental note of its features, especially the ones that could be potentially dangerous. The decorative pool in particular seems to earn her disdain, and unlike those who laughed, she winces when Gorm finds himself splashed by a Magikarp. That could have been a tragedy if it was any other Pokemon, she thinks darkly.

The buildings themselves, at least, receive her begrudging approval. Despite being older than she is, the dormitories appear well-constructed, maintained, and built to code (whatever that means).

The young Volkova spends so long cataloguing the outside of the apartments, that by the time she begins heading inside most of the other students have long rushed inside to claim their rooms. Stepping through the stained walnut front doors, she finds that the inside of Moltres House feels a lot homier than expected. The cozy common room has a lot of old world charm, having the burnished-wood-and-bronze appearance of a domicile a couple decades its senior. Overstuffed chairs and couches sit on rich, thick carpets, the walls are heavy with shelves of books and bottles and other various knick-knacks and mementos of ancient providence, and the center of the room has a charming indoor fire pit that currently is lying dormant, clean swept and with a cord of firewood nearby for, Kuri supposes, chilly nights or House sleepover events of some sort. She briefly wonders what the House's decor has to do, if anything, with its Moltres mascot (or perhaps moniker).

Geth roll 4dF for recalling some Moltres Trivia
    Pokemon Knowledge: 1 + 2 = 3 (Good)

She faintly recalls that Moltres is typically seen as a symbol of tradition, which perhaps explains the old-fashioned decoration of the House. It was that motif, along with competition and determination, she remembers, that granted the potent Flame Pokemon its modern day association with the Pokemon League Championships. If that's the case, she'll have to stop by the other Houses sometime and see what their designs have to say about the virtues of Articuno and Zapdos.

Kuri's late arrival means the room is already host to several tussles and arguments as other students vie for room to gawk at the common room's accouterments, and fight to claim the comfiest chairs for their use. To Kuri's mild interest and Uzha's mean-spirited delight, the comic-reader she had attempted to converse with on the boat is bullied out of his seat so the one bossy girl with the feline Pokemon can claim it, her in-group making their own little pow-wow circle.

Completely content to let the other children quarrel over the common room's accomodations, Kuri stays standing, awaiting the tardy arrival of the House Leader and going through the contents of her supply package to see if she's been assigned a room already.

James gives Stirn the box of school supplies to carry while James himself drags the luggage behind him. Eager to get settled in, James keeps to the front of the group, almost stepping on the Professor's heels.

Once they arrive at the dorms, James tells Lee and Gorm bye for now and heads towards his dorm. Muscling through the crowd of people going into the shared Zapdos/Moltres dorm, Stirn and James are some of the first into the common room.

If James didn't know better, he'd say that they had stumbled onto the set of a moderately budgeted scifi movie. Sterile florescent lights on the ceiling illuminated the room. All the surfaces in the room were shiny and rounded. The black and white couches that both lined the walls and formed a circle in the middle of the room were partially sunk into the floor, with a small step down for feet to comfortably rest. The stairwell in the corner that James imagined led to the rooms was a tight spiral staircase around a metal pole. It didn't actually seem possible for two people to go in opposite directions on it.

Large, bubble-shaped windows dotted the walls, the view outside acting as the only reminder that, no, you aren't on board a spaceship. Around each window were two curving, C-shaped shelves, where books were stacked on top each other. This, of course, meant that the books at the top were far too high for the younger children to reach. Apparently, the only throwback to anything remotely contemporary allowed was a fireplace, but with a multitude of (probably ornamental) pipes and wires reaching towards the ceiling, even the fireplace managed to look like an alien artifact that had simply been adapted into a more mundane role.

Whoever had designed this place had clearly never planned on living in it themselves.

Lee was a little bit disappointed James wasn't going to be his roommate and Gorm was but the Articuno House was made up for it quickly. Leading to the front door of the house was a turquoise brick walkway lined with white triangle shaped flags with a Articuno on each. The house itself was a tall round white tower with a shield with the house's emblem on the above the large double oak doors with black iron bars running horizontally. Inside opened up to a large pale blue room with oak floors with two sets of spiraling staircases that lead to the floors above. students everywhere making mad dashes to get their perfect dorm rooms,
Lee just hoped he could find one on a the top floor.

unfortunately for Lee most of the upper rooms where already taken so he was stuck with one on the second floor. the room was small with two beds and the same pale blue walls. soon Lee had unpacked his things and collapsed on a bed towards his left. Lee sighed. He was so ready for school to start.

Gorm was already taking his shoes off by the time he noticed the sign on the shoreline:
"NO UNSANCTIONED POKEMON BATTLES IN THE POND"
Glowering darkly, the young trainer redons his apparel and trudges to his new home.

    It didn't help much.
Looking down at his shoes, Gorm couldn't help but notice the thick polished glass floor.
Unlike the other buildings which were built around the pond, this one was built on top of the pond, and the foyer's floor looked directly down into the aquarium below.
White pillars surrounded the center of the room, holding the central column of the tower up. This column was also transparent, and a beam of light shone coolly down, illuminating the murky depths.
And directly underneath him, there sat the offending Magikarp, twisting and turning and mimicking Gorm's movement up above.

Gorm sighed and decided to just make his way to his new room.
Finding the sign-up sheet, he found Lee had already decided on a number, and so Gorm trudged his way up the stairs towards his bed.

Ok, so a quick thing. All power bonuses will be +1 and I'm dropping the +1 for same type. Hopefully, this will even the power level as you guys where getting +6 and +8 on creatures with 3 and 4 health boxes. The smaller Koffings weren't originally going to have minor Consequence but I had to change that midgame.

    Moltres House

From some unseen part of the House a Gong goes off, and students come flooding out of the rooms. Each seem to naturally create a small stage around the fireplace which ia soon filled with a very tall girl with amber hair. "All eyes on me, thank you. For you new first years, I'm Alexis Sharp, Student Leader for Moltras House. If you got questions, bring them to me. Now that out of the way, we can get down to it. This year there are five known events we will be asked to participate in, including the Pokémon Stadium Battle. We only won two events last year and I want to see betterout of the returning students and a great start for our first years. Badges are important as they count towards our ultimate gold of being the Egg Keepers next year. Now, that doesn't mean we won't see more events, last year we had 9 total, but I want us to be ready. Now, for rooms, first years and new students, bottom floor." This earned a round of moans from some students. "Sorry, but that's our rules." Students started getting up to grab their things and change rooms.

    Zapdos

The lights suddenly when out in Zapdos House. Cries when up and people started yelling. Then one blue laser beam shot down from the ceiling to the floor. Then red, green, yellow, and finally white. The beams grew larger until they created a circle of lights around one student, a green haired boy with neon lights on his jacket. Electronic music begin the play and students came out of their rooms to see the spectacle. In a voice almost announcer like, the neon kid was introduced. "Ladies and Gentlemen, introducing last year's Pokéraid and Single Battle Champion and the new Student Leader of Zapdos House, Kit Surge!" The lights began to flash and dance around the room while Kit danced to the beat of the song. Somewhere in the chaos of lasers, Kit threw his hand into the air and dojng so released a Pokéball. The laser lights all caught the Pokéball just as it released a Spinda which in turn used Teeter Dance. The Pokémon's moves caught the lasers and distorted them. The normal lights started to come back on slowly as the music and Spinda slowed down. "Welcome to the new School Year!!!" The effect got many people clapping while some just looked annoyed.

Kit suddenly called out "Zapdos House!" which was followed by the older students responding with "Lighting Fast!"

"Yeah. Last year we pulled a shocking upset and won five of the event badges. And that gave us this!" The lasers once again pointed towards the sky, these time illuminating a platform that was slowly being let down. Epic Orchestra music herald in the arrival of the Unhatched Egg. It was red with tiny green spots along the top. The egg seemed quite large for a Pokémon egg, almost three feet tall. The lasers circled the egg, creating a soft glow around the egg. "And maybe this year, the egg will hatch for us!" That earned Kit a cheer from everyone. "Now, if anyone has any thing they want to know, feel free to ask me! Lets have a good year!"

    Articuno

Lee and Gorm were unpacking in their rooms when they noticed students where heading down stairs to the coomon room. There they found the largest table they had ever seen filled with food. Everyone was already grabbing seats and spoonfuls of this and platefuls of that. At the each end of the table sat two identical twins in suits. "Eat up!" Said one. "It will be the best meal you'll have here until Christmas."

As the meal when on, students got acquired and caught up on the latest gossip. The most prominent was the jumping Koffing ninja like man.
"Team Chaos is so cool. I hear its students pulling insane tricks."
"He used one of the Koffings as an air cushion before he disappeared."
"They got some crazy machine that's boosting Pokémons' powers."

Finally, the twins stood up and tapped their forks against their glasses. "Well, this is quite a group we have here."
    "Yes, a fine group indeed."
"I'm Tyler. This is my brother Skylar."
    "Welcome to Articuno House."
"We are your Student Leaders this year. And what a year it's already becoming! Team Chaos with that grand entrance!"
"Of course," Skylar gives his brother a cross look "We all know the rules about getting involved with Team Chaos. You will be expelled immediately."
Tyler just rolls his eyes. "I know, but they do keep things exciting around here. Not that its boring. Between the school events, Starwave City, and the parts of Ryukyu Island people get to go to, there is plenty of excitement to be had."
"So let's have a great year and try to stay out of trouble."

Everyone gets the gist of Team Chaos. Pranksters, Thieves, Pokéterrorist. Everyone has an option but no one knows who they are. Some guess they are students, as most of their stunts seem to happen around the Academy but no student has ever been caught as a member. But the school rules says that no one can be engage with Team Chaos in any form or fashion. Including Pokébattling.

The houses settle down a bit as the day goes on. Students, now unpacked, begin to explore the school grounds. Along with the three dorms and the small Pokémon pond (with one mean spirited Magikarp), the school grounds have a main building, where the scientists hold classes and home to the largest library on the island. Outside on the North side of the Academy is Sol Woods, an area of the woods that were walled in so students could go into the woods. A creek ran through these woods until they cut through Cherrybloom's Garden, a large field of flowers and trees where many Pokémon could be found hiding and playing (Another "NO UNSANCTIONED POKEMON BATTLES" signs seem to be glowing among the flowers). As it was still a warm day, most students had traveled back to the dock and the beach. Students with large enough Pokémon rode them through the waves. Some stayed on the beach, tanning, playing vollyball with Pokémon, or building sand castle to act like forts for invasions. Along the western wall the Pokémon Battle Stadium seems to grow off the wall itself. Currently its closed off and under construction, the area is a buzz of workers and their Pokémon. However, the practice field was open. Just a simple field the size of a football field, the bleachers were full of students watching others battle either other. From the look of things, their was some sort of gauntlet style game going, battle until you drop. And some students have returned to the amphitheater, now cleaned up from the attack. The clock tower window is still broken and guards seem to be around with their Houndours.
Fill free to explore and add on anything you want. Also, if their are any Pokémon you guys like to see please, make your list.

Should be able to get a good IC post in tomorrow morning. Until then, I've already put a bit of thought into Pokemon Kuri would like so I'll get that out on the table while I can still keep myself awake.

Ghost, Dark, Ice and perhaps Poison Types are a favorite, and are likely to have fun interactions with Kuri and Uzha. In particular, I think a Frosslass would suit Kuri rather well, so a Snorunt-ish opportunity at some point in the future would be very welcome.

Other than that, Kuri can hardly resist a feline addition, so any sort of Meowth, Shinx, or Skitty would go over well. Nidoran are cute enough for Poison Types, and an Absol would be appropriate for Kuri's doom and gloom outlook.

    An Eevee is rarely amiss.

Noibat would make for a good Flying Type (and aerial mount if we get that far). For something a little more mundane, a Starly or a Taillow would also work. Speaking of those early route 'mons, I do have a small soft spot for Rattata, and Kuri would see nothing wrong with a common rodent being on her team so long as it pulled its weight in some way or another.

Since a Pokemon capable of Surfing would probably come in handy as well, Kuri could roll quite happily with a Tentacool, Shellder, Seel, or the ever classic Lapras.

I could go on and on for ages, really. Kuri probably isn't going to be too picky about what Pokemon she catches (so long as it isn't silly), nor is she going to worry too much about Type coverage, trusting in her Move Tutoring background to help her branch out a team's offensive options enough for her semi-competitive needs. Mostly what she's looking for is mild, serious, and easily trained Pokemon, as she's far more confident in her ability to tease out potential in a weaker Pokemon that can follow directions than in trying to take control of a stronger, but headstrong, Pokemon.

    Hawlucha
    Goomy
    Sandile

    Those are my personal favorites.

James would like Physical pokemon with whom he can can work out. Obviously fighting , but most rock and ground would fit the bill.

Eager to get out of the dorm, James pushes his way through the crush of students to find his room number (214) from the posting on the wall, climbs up the narrow stairs, and drops all his stuff on his bed. Not even bothering to wait until his roommate shows up, James turns around and works his way back to the stairs through the press of students. James paces back and forth as the slower students dragged their belongings up the stairs. Eventually, James spotted a break in the parade of students and took his chance. When he inevitably found another person climbing up the stairs, James decided he was done waiting. He just jumped over the side of the railing and landed on the couch. Bolting for the door before any possible reprimands could be issued, James flung the doors open with his outstretched arms. And that's when it hit him.

    He was really here.

Oh man, this was going to be amazing.

But, first things first. He needs to get a workout in for the day. He didn't have a chance to do one this morning, so he was going to have to improvise. A few laps in the pond would do the trick.

After he was chased out of the pond by a school of Magikarp, he decided to go for a run around the campus, which would also give him a chance to see if anything interesting was happening.

    Kuri Volkova

Kuri sighs gently after the Moltres Student Leader gives her speech. Short and to the point, she could respect that, she thinks, clicking her supply case closed and heading for a room. But on the other hand, that was hardly an inspiring intro, she continues, the gears of an intellect finely tuned to matters of marketing beginning to spin.

Does Kuri want some oversized egg all up in her living space for the next few years? Hardly. Would it look good, especially if she played a crucial part in obtaining it time and again? Yes, yes it would. Good enough to keep her family out of her hair another year or two.

The young girl continues turning the notion of winning events over and over in her head as she drags her rolling suitcase into a ground floor room. Eventually realizing no one is going to do her unpacking for her, Kuri begins spreading out outfits on her quilted bed, divesting each unwrinkled packet of its protective sheet of tissue. From the cavernous cargo bag, she eventually unearths a long, thin, fabric cover. Pulling its zipper down the side, she draws out an épée, the slim, dull, knob-pointed dueling sword she used in her fencing lessons. Checking it for any bends or brittleness from its oversea travel, she belatedly remembers she should really check out where her classes are supposed to be taking place. It would be no end of embarrassing if she should turn up late or in a rush to her first days of classes.

But first she zips up her fencing gear, and stows it deep in a closet. Hardly a dangerous piece of equipment, but she doesn't need to be reminded not to leave it out in the open when nosy children are about.

Now that her living space is settled, Kuri's first order of business is to ascertain the locations of the various classrooms. She'll be exploring the main building and library, and plotting quick routes to get from class to class. First to arrive and last to leave is a good impression to make, after all.

Uzha makes faces at the Houndour lurking near the clock tower while they make their way towards the main building, continuing to show off his lack of survival instincts. Kuri taps a foot impatiently while the spook lags behind, glowering at the Shuppet when he finally deigns to leave the Dark Pokemon alone.

"Perhaps I should get one of those to help keep you in line," she muses aloud, blowing a strand of hair out of her face as she turns to continue walking. Uzha circles around her front, giving his trainer a contemptuous smirk before blowing a raspberry at the idea.

    "Just a thought."

So when do we get to see some class schedules?

Because I've personally been out of school for years but goodness if I don't get fired up by a huge list of electives to choose from. I used to honestly enjoy juggling schedules around and swapping classes in and out to finagle a Tuesday/Thursday university week.

Are there going to be... clubs?

    James

James run seem to past quickly. There was so much to see. From the beach that gave a nice bit of resistance towards gaining speed to the gardens that had so many paths that it wasn't hard to get turned around. It was here that he noticed the shadows. Two of them, one that seem to be a Pokémon and another that might have belonged to his trainer. James made his way back to the main building and the numerous side buildings. Just as James found the workout gymnasium, he noticed that the shadows were still going. Curious?

    Kuri

The Councilor's office was empty at first glance. Books, folders, and cabinets seem to be randomly placed but still gravitating around a simple desk. Papers seem to blanket the top, covering everything but the computer screen and a T shaped wood post. Uzha started to stand on the post when a scream broke the silence. "Chatterbox!" A shadow spoked the Shuppet of the perch. "What's your name and number?"

    Kuri Volkova

Kuri calms down, gently chiding herself while shaking her head for getting worked up over a mere Pokemon. One that probably doesn't even realize what an unbelievably horrendous faux pas it committed. Noblesse oblige, she will forgive the trespass this time.

Uzha's smirk slides away as, with a scowl, the Shuppet feels the moment pass. Oh well. With a roll of his eyes, the Puppet Pokemon's amused smile returns. Plenty of other opportunities to come.

Meanwhile, Kuri continues inspecting the unusual Flying Type. She's heard of Pokemon that could communicate before, but this specimen, while talkative, doesn't seem to be making much sense. She should probably answer the dreadful thing's question, though she's fairly certain she was issued no number. If you don't know where you're going however, she considers thoughtfully, than any road will take you there.

"Kuri Volkova," she replies, pausing for a moment. "Nine," she adds, throwing down her position in her family's current line of succession for no particular reason.

Lee had surprisingly fell asleep for a couple of hours after settling into his dorm room. when awake from his nap the noise of students running around had died down and the house was almost eerily quiet. With just of few hours of daylight left, Lee decided to go for a walk down to beach. "Come on." He said to his mudkip who was curled up next to him beside the bed. Lee and mudkip exited their new home and began the short journey across the quad past the other houses and school buildings in search of the sandy shore.

As the two walked along the path he spotted a few students outside with their Pokemon sitting under a tree laughing and having a good time. He would have joined them but the sea was calling Lee's soul and that was on the top of the things to do right now. 'Maybe later, I'll say hello and try to make more friends on my way back' Lee thought to himself.

    Kuri Volkova

Her eyes narrowing, Kuri gives the Chatot a lopsided look. Some sort of Pokemon filing system? An automated help desk?

"There is a nine in there, at least. I was close," she says, thumbing the five digit number into her phone for later reference. That done, she ponders her options here.

"I would like to access my class schedule. Can you do that?" she finally asks. Uzha, convinced there's no further entertainment to be found in this quarter, quietly vacates his cottony fortification, slipping from the depths of Kuri's jacket to float softly over the floor, idly probing the surface for any interesting bloodstains or deadly trapdoors because you never know your luck.

An addition to the list of Pokemon I'd like to see: so far I've been neglecting 5th and 6th gen Pokemon in general, sticking with old favorites in the games and whatnot. Might as well try to amend that oversight up in here so I'll mark down a general interest in those new-fangled Fairy Types and such.

Lee watched as the waves crashed on the shore like so many times before waiting for his father. Except this time he was gone on a grand adventure. Was his parents standing on the shore in Slateport City thinking about him? Lost in thought, Lee barely noticed the rounded fin as it cut across the waves. Mudkip got nervous but moved closer to the waves. Students didn't seem to mind it or notice it. Suddenly the fin darted across the ocean, creating a small, but surfable wave. "Woohoo!" one of the student yelled as he stood up on his board and rode it all the way until it crashed. Just another day at the beach.

    James
The shadows kept going without saying anything. But something seemed odd on how he never saw who it was.

The Chatot flew off again, then returned with a folder. Pinned to the front was a paper with her schedule. "Schedules will also be sent to students tomorrow at Homeroom in Room 207." The bird said before flying off.

    Gorm

Not feeling up to climbing back down to pond level, but thinking that sulking in his room is pretty stupid too, Gorm starts heading up the stairs of the tower, to check out the open air observatory that resides at the top.

In the observatory Gorm watched as a student ran laps around the buildings, others sat and talked in the common area or played some sport that he wasn't interested in. It took a while before Gorm felt the eerie felling of being watched. Looking around, Gorm noticed a pair of eyes floating in the air. "Kecleon, there you are!" Said a long black haired boy who came up the stairs. Suddenly the eyes grew a body of a Purple Kecleon. "Sorry about that, he likes to sneak up on people. I'm Jett, by the way."

    James
James tried to follow the shadows as they heading into the woods but soon lost them. As he was leaving, he found a foot print left by one of the shadows.

    Kuri Volkova

Kuri looks over her schedule hungrily. It looks like her mornings are going to be busy, but that free period right before what she assumes is her Pokemon Training class would be helpful. She glances over at Uzha, who notices and glowers. Yep, definitely want some time to cool off from her day before an hour of struggling with that one.

"Thank you very much," she says to the Chatot, remembering herself. "I will be going now, ta."

Sleeving the schedule into her bag, she feels confident she'll be able to locate the classes taking place within the main building. Pulling out her map of the school grounds, she attempts to locate the Pokemon Care Gardens. She briefly wonders if that will be a class with Professor Cherrybloom and her Pokéherbalism, or if the emphasis is on the "Pokemon Care" and it's more of a Breeder's class for... grooming, proper feeding, and whatever else it is Breeders do. Uzha has never been a picky eater, though, and his hygienic needs have always been neatly taken care of by Messieurs Maytag and Tide in a standard cold wash cycle.

She sighs. Might as well check it out and see exactly where and what it is.

Edit: Wait, it passed her a folder, right? What else is in that folder?

"Hey! I'm Gorm", he says whilst eyeing off the Kecleon, "This is a pretty neat place up here".

The observatory is reminiscent of a large open air amphitheater, with a few white stone steps/benches all facing inwards to a large circular crystal stage, inscribed with celestial symbols and with a few permanent telescopes secured to its surface. A viewing platform runs around the outside, with the twin sets of stairs surfacing just behind the outermost row of seats. The platform ends in a smooth featureless white half-height stone parapet, looking more like packed and polished snow than masonry. Rather strangely, the only thing that appears weathered are the telescopes in the center of the room, and that's through usage. Everything else has been kept free of dirt or, more likely, mould. Gorm had already narrowed this puzzle down to being due to either some fanatic cleaner, or magic.

"So, are you a first year too?"

    James Stone

After losing sight of the pair, James takes a look around and tries to get his bearings. The forest isn't really dark yet, but he doesn't want to spend his first day lost in the woods. Before he turns around and heads back, he decides to see if he can make out anything interesting about the track.

"No, I'm a second year. So what's your impression of the Academy?" Jett asks as his Kecleon once again turned invisible.

    James

Looking around, James spotted more tracks but he couldn't tell what made it. It was a Pokémon that walked on four legs but that's all he could figure out. Frustrated, James headed back to the dorms.

    James Stone

Grumbling, James heads out of the woods. Figuring that it's time for Stirn to get out and stretch his legs, he releases the pokeball, and Stirn appears in a flash of light, doing a hand stand. Er, well it would be a handstand if his arms were long enough, so it's more of a headstand.

"All right that's enough of that, Stirn. Let's get walking."

Much to James' surprise, Stirn actually flips backwards onto his legs and keeps pace with James.

James catches sight of another trainer heading away from the dorm buildings. Determined to actually meet someone on his outing, James jogs over and introduces himself, "Hey, I'm James. I'm new here." He then grins as his slightly sweaty hand out as a greeting. He pauses for a moment, as recognition clicks into place as he catches a glimpse of the Shuppet, then adds "Hey, weren't you one of the kids who was got into that tumble with Koffings?"

"It's so Big! And everyone has Pokemon! Not even half the kids in my town had pokemon.
And we even got to battle on the first day!
This is pretty much the best place ever!", Gorm gushes, having completely forgotten to he was meant to sulk about the Magikarp.

"Oh, you've been here for a while, what's your favourite thing about the Academy?"

Jett reached his hand out and grabed his Kecleon out of thin air. "The events are nice. Last year a first year got to the semi-finals in one of the Colosseum battles. Classes are ok but the history of Pokémon is cool."

"How do you do?" Kuri replies, graciously accepting James' proffered hand. "Kuri Volkova, and my Pokemon, Uzha," she continues.

"The participation in the ruckus was mostly Uzha's doing, I confess," she replies to the martial artist's question. "He is quick to immerse himself in any form of bedlam."

"No, it wasn't me. Kecleon doesn't listen to me so I don't battle with him. I almost had a Wingull last year but Kecleon wouldn't attack. He just disappeared."

James cocks his head to one side, puzzled look on his face.

"So, you actually have to keep Uzha from fighting. Man, it would be nice to have that problem."

Stirn rolls his eyes before sitting down to meditate.

    "Anyway, where are you from?"
