Is it just me or is MGS3 way more difficult in the controls department?
It is in some ways, mainly because of the pressure-sensitive buttons, if you're trying not to kill guards
But fuck that, slit every throat
My problem is more with how the camo system and inventory are handled than anything else, digging through menus to constantly change camo is no fun, and there's no good goddamn reason you couldn't just have everything in your inventory bars instead of having to take things out of your backpack and put them in your magical inventory bars
They tried to let realism get in the way of fun and forget they were making a game where your enemy meows like a cat to call his team in
Also I'm way in the minority on this, but I can't stand the Subsistence camera. I much prefer the birds-eye-view camera of original MGS3. So it's very nice that they let you use it. That camera is the main reason I didn't dig MGS4, though, and why I haven't even played Ground Zeroes yet
Also, this was bound to happen eventually, considering I don't think they record the podcast with any redundancies like with Quick Looks. They just fire up the janky old computer and pray.
Also there was a Bombcast they had to record twice that was pretty hilarious.
I can't find it, but there's another podcast where the image is of all the guys crowding around a computer that may or may not have crashed and taken the entire podcast with it.
Sometimes I sing a little song to myself while playing Shadow of Mordor. The lyrics go something like “hunt the orcs, stalk the orcs, stab and slice and cut the orcs”. It’s a good song, but it’s not nearly as good as the game.
Ah, crap. Listening to the podcast thinking I didn't care about spoilers, then they start listing the big ol list of games to consider for Best Story and I hear The Fall in there.
I assume that they talk about the entirety of that? I completely forgot about needing to play that until now.
