We have two different suits that I like. One is a Men's Warehouse suit, Egara brand, which I gather isn't the nicest, but it felt and looked nice. That suit is not tailored yet, and you will be able to see that in the pictures, the pants aren't hemmed and the sport coat needs taken out a bit, so set expectations accordingly.
Here is the first suit.
Now, the second suit, which I have also tentatively purchased with the ability to return later (on both the suits I can do this) is one from Express.
This one was less expensive, but I like the look. It will need less tailoring, fits better off the rack. But I have no real idea of the quality, frankly suits are a mystery to me. I'm not walking around in a suit ever. Can it even be tailored?
Here is just the vest side by side.
Back of the vests.
and the Express one in another nice picture and with the bowtie instead. (I don't have any other pics of the first suit.
Do we like one or the other? Hate them both, throw them in the garbage? Thoughts?
@JebusUD I have, I think, that exact suit from Express and I love it
I had it tailored, I had to get the pants hemmed and waist taken in on mine and it came out great
Well, I can definitely tell right away that I like the white shirt better than the blue on the one suit.
What do you think of the bowtie versus the tie?
@Grey Ghost I think the express one would need very little tailoring. I'm basically exactly the build for that store. I get 90% of my clothes there. I'm also feeling like I like the slightly darker grey on that suit.
This is for my wedding. I'm going suit instead of tux. It's a backyard affair.
and I wonder about my neighbors even though I don't have them

I would go with the Express suit. I prefer the colour and the pants seem a little slimmer which looks better.
The first picture of the vest makes it look like it might need some adjustments under the arms. But other than that and some hemming and the suit kooks quite good.
The second one looks like it fits you better in the shoulders, so I'd go with that one because that's not really something you can get tailored off the wrack.
Sorry I can't help more than that. I'm stuck posting from my phone right now and can't get a good look at the fabric.

I can take a better pic of the fabrics later. I'm off to work now.
Thanks for the help!

The first suit is too big across the shoulders and too small across the chest to me.
The second one is too small in the shoulders but seems to be a better fit in the body, it looks to be a fraction too long, but that is easy to fix. Overall these photos are harder to judge since you have your hands in your pockets and the buttons aren't worn correctly.
The pants in the second one fit you better in that photo and the vest is adjustable which is a plus (it's there to be drawn in to give your body some shape).

@JebusUD I don't know if it's any help, necessarily, but I whistled at the Express suit and merely smiled slightly at the Men's Warehouse one. But I know nothing about suits at all, that's just my random comments.
@Creagan
Here are some pictures of the fabric. Not sure what kind of picture to take of the fabric. I can take more pictures of any particular part if that helps.
That is the first suit, the Men's Warehouse one.
This is the Express one. I notice right away that there is a little hole or snag in the fabric on the right just below the shoulder, so I'll probably exchange it for a different one in the same size. Or similar size.
speaking of size recommendations, @Blake T
When you say the shoulders seem a bit wrong what do you mean exactly, what should I be looking for in the shoulder? I'm aware that you aren't supposed to button both buttons on the jacket, but I was talking to the lady and pondering that it was kind of silly to have a button you aren't supposed to use, so I buttoned it and those were the photos that weren't blurry. If you see the bowtie pic, it has the buttons done correctly. I'll retake some photos later with my hands out of my pockets. There were some, but they didn't turn out either. In real life I'm going to have my hands in my pockets about 100% of the time in that suit.
I thought it looked fine but for the shoulders a picture from the back would be helpful. That's were creases or straining would be most visible due to ill-fitting shoulders.
Length seemed ok, too, traditionally the seem of the jacket falls into the palm of your hand when your arm is lowered to your side.
I think overall I'm preferring a somewhat shorter than traditional Coat, and I may have the sleeves shortened a little bit as well, to be just at the hinge of my wrist.
I won't have time today to get more pictures up, but I'll get one with the back of the coat tomorrow.
Overwhelmingly the majority of people here and IRL are saying suit 2. So I'll go with that, might play around with the sizing though.

something doesn't feel quite right about my hair now
when I part it, some strands on the side are too long and the back feels wrong
should I have taken more off the top?
when I go in to have it cut, should I wear it in the style I usually do and say "Please cut it to make this shape convenient."?
Back maybe a bit shorter in comparison to the front and the undercut on the parted side a little bit more pronounced? Like the short part of that side taken more to the top/parting?

that sounds like a plan
I will do this when I go in for a trim in two weeks

They're -ok-
Looking at something far away to something close is still uncomfortable though
No headache so far today though so that's good
Bow ties are cool.

This is false. Bow ties are never cool and are in fact the opposite.
Don't you want to be as cool as Tucker Carlson?
If that is cool then no, I do not want any part of it.
That said, the classic nic arse-end-of-a-horse-in-a-windstorm hair and stupid expression have rocketed this up my 'favourite photos of myself' list.
disgusting
