Hmm, I can’t decide how much I want to go for EZA SSJ3 Goku.
I’d have to use stones for either Angel Golden Frieza or SSJ3 Broly and even then I don’t have a lot of potential/SA investment in either of those teams. I can’t even really effectively use the devilman cheat cause mine’s only SA 3.

But I find the game more enjoyable than Dokkan because there's very little powercreep, so I feel like my time isn't going to waste when I put it into a unit

The rates in Dokkan are FAR better than in FGO, but in FGO any SR or SSR will be useable. Even the worst of them.
In Dokkan, most SSRs, and all SRs (with one or two exceptions) are almost entirely useless. and even if you get one of the good ones, you need the specific other units that go well with it. All of which are SSRs, many of them Fest exclusives.
Picked this back up to poke around with when bored, old account was lost with old phone so there goes my SS3 Goku.
Three rerolls and I got another SSR. Golden Frieza Angel. He looks good but so much has changed since I played that I don't recognize a lot of these various skills and passives.
I think we're about to hit the anniversary, so it's a good time to restart.
I've been working on the ludicrous Fierce Battle teams. Finished the INT and PHY quests, just got my STR team set up. I just need more #17 medals for the AGI team and Golden Frieza for the TEQ team. During this I found out the Paikuhan event hasn't shown up again since he was released, so I guess I'm never getting to use him.
I was just about to complain that I was running out of things to do when they added the Broly EZA event.

See if you can refresh for friend LR Goten and Trunks, as Hybrid Saiyans are his weakness and they're AGL. Other AGL guys are:
I've actually got Golden Frieza and the team up Gohan and Goten. Along with SSJ2 AGL Gohan. But I'd have to Dokkan everyone but Frieza. Otherwise I've got #17, the LR Androids, Goku Rose, the regular evil #17 and the two SSGSS Gokus to pick from. Not many good choices there. I'm not sure when the event ends but I'm not sure I could get all of those Dokkaned up in time.
I don't think I've ever even see Goten & Trunks on my list before, either.

You’d be surprised how far you can get even with a suboptimal team, especially since you have SSJ4 Vegeta. I ran most of the SSJ3 Goku EZA with a masked saiyan lead. Just don’t get discouraged if you don’t beat a level in the first try cause there is definitely some RNG in there on the attack pattern and character order.
The Vegeta event is also running and that AGL SSJ2 Vegeta & Bulma is a decent unit.
If I could use items I could possibly push through, just doing damage with SSJ4 Vegeta every other turn. But with everyone else on the team being TEQ/PHY I'm getting hit for too much damage and not doing nearly enough.
I could try to go back to INT with SSJ2 Gohan? He still does good damage, but again, everyone else on the team is sub-par...
Even as good as my Super AGL team is, once I got to Broly lvl 21 I started to need to rely heavily on RNG. I wish I could find anybody with an LR Goten & Trunks, cuz the one time I used him he just destroyed Broly every time he attacked.

Yeah, I’m running pure Super AGL aside from AGL Ultimate Gohan and I started running into a wall around there. I started running Caulifla and as long as her passive activates and she doesn’t actually take a hit she helps a lot. Dunno if later on I’m gonna have to start running Whis for the heal or if that would be too much of a damage loss.

It's not like my SSJ2 Gohan does much damage anyway (despite being both Super AGL and a Hybrid Saiyan), so I might give Whis a try.
Right now my AGL team has been: SSJ4 Vegeta, SSJ Vegito, Caulifla, SSJ Gotenks, SSJ2 Gohan, SSB Kaioken Goku, friend unit of SSJ4 Vegeta or (when a miracle happens and one shows up) LR Goten & Trunks.
So far that team has gotten me to EZA lvl 26. I've had to some fights three or four times before RNG worked in my favor.
EDIT: There are some Good Samaritans on the Dokkan Battle reddit who are taking friend requests from people who need to use their LR G&T. I may end up needing to ask for help in one of those threads to get me past the final stretch, but I'll probably wait a few days for the initial frenzy to die down.

Speaking of Broly I managed to beat LVL 30 of the EZA! The trick it turns out wasn’t hoping for LR Goten & Trunks but instead taking a rainbow Super Vegito friend and adding Caulifla back in for maximum damage reduction. I was still using SSJ4 Vegeta lead and had my own rainbow Super Vegito. I imagine you could probably do it without them being rainbowed, I think I still had decent health left so it could have gone longer.
I did two pulls on this new banner because I need Broly top unlock awakening paths on my current Broly, didn't get him but I did get ssj4 Vegeta, and the God book and also an ssr 17, so that's not awful
With today's new game update comes data for STR Goku Black Rose and TEQ Vegito Blue, the new top-tier Extreme and Super leads, so those guys will be the next big banners. If, like me, you don't really have Dragon Stones left, there will be daily missions to earn Super and Extreme draw tickets for the two banners.
I'll probably end up skipping spending any stones on these guys for now, since I kinda want to save up for when the PHY Full Power Frieza EZA comes along, since that themed banner will almost certainly have FP Frieza and STR SSJ4 Goku as featured units. And I'd LOVE to have both of them.
In a completely unexpected turn of events, the next EZAs are for the Family Kamehameha Goku, Gohan and Goten. And in less important news there's going to be a new transforming Super Agl Vegeta (transforms from SSB to SSB Evolved). He's probably going to be named SSGSS Vegeta, so if you have and existing one with dupes this news just got a lot less exciting.
I think you can go back to the earlier levels to grind out the medals to at least finish off the awakenings. You just won't get the clear rewards from the last few battles.

I’m now stuck on 29. There have been a couple times where I’ve been within two super attacks of beating it, but I need almost perfect RNG.
EDIT: To preserve my sanity, I think I'm just gonna take a break from the EZA and clear out all the Supreme Kai trials I haven't done yet. Then maybe I can get rid of some of these SRs I'd never use for anything else.
400 stones and about 16 tickets to get Str Rose. Got two ssj3 brolies and two Super 17 and then a bunch random nonsense... two Nuevo shenrons.... Wanted a dupe phy cooler but oh well. Going to do the first round of vegitos banner then back to saving for LR vegito
Did all my pulls. Got a few duplicate SSRs, plus TEQ Bardock, Super Buu and one of the stupid Giant Ape guys. Along with like 30 Rares and 20 SRs. Not a great haul.

Pulling for units in this game is even more frustrating than Fate/Grand Order, I think.
