Yeah I always thought that the zelda timeline was supposed to be a... fluid one. Like, connected but not like, in the way that continuity is ever an issue.
creating a timeline more rigid than "that's far in the past and that's far in the future" seems really stupid
I feel like it's more cyclical in nature. The first time Ganon and Link fought, Ganon cursed everyone with the triforce of power so that no one could ever win.
Or, the three goddesses locked them in battle for all eternity, because there cannot be light without darkness. It's sort of like they're failsafe to keep the triforce out of harm's way. Then they created the soul for the hero of time, so that someone would have more power than the evil and light would always triumph, and gave that person the power of time travel with the master sword.
yeah, and then it's just like, this cycle is long before the others. this one is long after. These other ones are maybe sort of around the same time kinda.

Yup, you can kind of get a general feel for which one took place when in the timeline but there's no need to directly link them.
I'm not sorry.
not a doctor, not a lawyer, examples I use may not be fully researched so don't take out of context plz, don't @ me

Also placing the NES games on any timeline was dumb.
There is no context at all in those games. They're just Link hero; Zelda princess; Ganon baddy.
life's a game that you're bound to lose / like using a hammer to pound in screws
fuck up once and you break your thumb / if you're happy at all then you're god damn dumb
that's right we're on a fucked up cruise / God is dead but at least we have booze
bad things happen, no one knows why / the sun burns out and everyone dies

it's so weird how the mind can associate the dumbest things with massive amounts of stress

The instruction books had a surprising amount of story in them for NES games, but yeah, timeline wonkiness didn't start until LttP, so it's weird to include the originals in it.

i meant to just write my sister's name on the envelope of her birthday card in big block letters. But the sharpie slipped and I made some out of bound smudges. So I uh...went a little overboard...
the actual card comes with a takeaway present that obvs inspired the theme
"Sir Landshark" That's a very Landshark ball pool there.
Haha this reminds me, I have a vid somewhere of me "swimming" under the surface of a giant foam/bubble party and popping out to surprise unsuspecting party goers
Sir Landshark on
Please consider the environment before printing this post.
hmm I wonder if this was stolen from /r/showerthoughts or it went the other way

Legit heart palpitations.
Let's play Mario Kart or something...
As far as Madden ads go, it's not terrible, but it's incredibly derivative.
EXCUSE ME
Enjoyed this.
I WANT THIS POOL
@kedinik Then I don't want to live under your roof, DAD.
... wait, this went to a weird place. I just wanna to go to space, man.

i think star wars is enough of a cultural staple that it's not applicable
even if you don't watch star wars you're still hearing about it all the time
the same can't be said for MGS
you forgot darth maul
c'mon
i'll assume you left out the more obvious ones because everyone knows them
This is what Kung Fury hath wrought.
