Government funding is important and should happen, because as I noted before, it's a national defense issue, among a million other concerns, but OTOH, colleges have been spending like a freshman who discovered that credit cards exist and they are already pre-approved because of the student loan bubble. And the worst is, so little of that goes to actual fucking educators, so while tenured professors do as well as someone with a socially useful job that requires and advanced degree ought, adjunct professors take extra ketchup packets and napkins when they eat at McDonald's to really stretch those dollars...
