OK I put this video in spoilers because I want you to read the setup before you watch it.
The match was on Towers of Doom and our Cho'Gall was just going ham everywhere. He only had one direction: Into the fight. And he just wouldn't pull back or engage when appropriate instead of whenever he saw an enemy. We weren't doing well and he said "Just follow me" ... So like a good student of the PA forum I decided it was better to go with the idiotic plan than to fight it. I died a couple times in mosh pits due to this, but on the whole we were winning the team fights and our Cho'Gall was actually able to win a couple fights where I thought he had no chance in hell.
So it's 22 minutes in and we only need to get 2 more shots on their core, but they need 12 on ours and it's a triple altar spawn. Li-Ming and I (Greymane) escaped from a battle and were injured. And that's where our video begins:
Giant Killer also counts as ability damage, which jacks up Spell Shield.
That is a bit unexpected but I could see Blizzard not wanting to have Giant Killer be piggyback on Excecutioner and Focused Attacks.
So I did some testing today
(it's completely stupid that you can only get to the target dummy through the shop... took me a while to figure it out -_-' )
Zag and Hydra attacking the dummy = Hydra dmg is auto-attack dmg, not ability!
Roach Landing explosion = ability dmg
(not shown: roach attack dmg is auto-attack dmg)
Most suprising of all: Baneling hit dmg = auto-attack dmg
Oh, and you can kill the dummy. It makes a murky easter egg. ^^'
I don't like that spell shield triggers on first ability damage taken, that's basically completely outside your control and frustratingly prone to being wasted. I feel like it should be a triggered ability and adjust the numbers accordingly.

Well, it works great against combos like Kaelthas' stun + living bomb + flamestrike.
Same with Li Ming's orb into magic missles, and Jaina's full blown combo.

rehgar is exhausting to play against. he's the hardest hero to kill in the entire game

Is he harder to kill than Tass now? He was second behind Tass for me for that for a while, but usually relied on Ghost Wolf just making people stop chasing you in frustration, and that's gone now.
oh well. nobody cares but i've uninstalled after playing a game i really shouldn't have played since irl is real bad right now and i acted like a shit.
Had a Specialist daily today. Thought to myself, let's play a Hero I haven't touched in a really long time. So, Nazeebo!
Had to pull a screenshot from the replay, since I forgot to actually hit the button in game, oops. So yes, we're the Red Team, and we're displayed as Blue on the scoreboard. WEIRD, I KNOW.
Anyway, this game was pretty rough! It started out not looking great for us, honestly. They had a lot of CC, they were very well coordinated. Things were kinda grim. But, around 14-15 minutes in, we had a numbers advantage at one of the shrines and got an Immortal. It pushed mid, we started to push bottom afterward, since a Keep was exposed. Enemy team circling in, we blow up Greymane right away and just vaporize everyone else. All that's left is poor Zeratul, and he gets blown up as soon as he tries to go on our Li-Ming. This game was a really great example as to why you should never give up. They had a really huge lead on us at one point, but a pick here and there let us get back in it.
Anyway, I really like Nazeebo! But I think he kinda needs some love. He's... more or less due for a talent rework at this point, I think. He's not bad, but he needs some attention. Anyway, I used a build that differs from the norm. I guess you could call it a hybrid build? I took Spider Cluster and Leaping Spiders, that's pretty standard (I mean pretty much mandatory, I think), but then opted for Toad Affinity and Toads of Hugeness. Lemme tell you bout dat Frog Shotgun, yo. So Toads of Hugeness HURT. And no one ever pays attention to them, especially in a chaotic teamfight. With Toad Affinity, you can significantly lower the cooldown on your Frogs and spam these guys out often. Especially on a map like Infernal Shrines, there's a lot of tight corridors and shit. Also, went Garg over Ravenous. That was not a Ravenous game, not with all the stuns they had. Gargantuan worked out well though. You did good, Gary!

Toad build is where it's been at for awhile with the pros I thought.
Toad of Hugeness is a big DPS boost, especially for sieging. You can melt gates and structures with those bad boys and clear waves real fast.
I've also tried Infested Toads which are plenty of fun but I'm still not sure if it's worth the tradeoff.

Okay so I see what Knight was talking about with Rehgar being unkillable. His Q is WAY TOO FUCKING OVERTUNED. Like I get a slime, a slimy puffer, and an octograb all on a squishy, AND OUR LI MING LAYS INTO THEM, and their health shoots up 70% with a chain heal and then 100% with the follow-up ancestral. It didn't help that they had Tassadar on their team as well so they had the double duo for unkillable supports who also made their Li Ming unkillable. (their greymane didn't do much and their stitches seemed to be relying on himself for heals so we just killed him.)
But goddamn that was a rough game. Yeah, Rhegar's Q is way to freaking strong right now, having that sort of healing power without speccing into it is ludicrous.
Looking at Heroesfire, Rehgar's baseline Q single target healing doesn't seem to be that crazy. Now across the 3 full targets it's pretty big, but that's different. It looks like it's about 1/3 of a typical squishy assassin's health bar. Is the site wrong?

Oh, maybe. 'Zeebo hasn't seen a lot of play in competitive lately though, so I dunno! It's definitely where I got the build from, anyway. It's really effective, I like it a lot.
But more so that most people seem to go for Gidbinn at 7 (which is understandable, it's good) and whatever random crap at 13 (Dead Rush is really popular for some reason?).
Also yeah I can't ever see myself not taking Leaping Spiders. They go from doing kinda piddly damage, sometimes, to hitting way harder and being way more reliable.

Nope, that's right. He's not amazing because he's a great healer. He's amazing because he's a good healer AND Lightning Shield does bonkers deeps. If they just tuned it down slightly, he'd probably still be top tier but not straight OP.

At 13 I like Thing of the Deep for the extra range, assuming I'm not goign toad build.
Basically I either do Spiders (Spider Cluster, Gidbinn, Thing of the Deep, Leaping Spiders) or Toads (probably Spider Cluster, Toad Affinity, Toads of Hugeness, Leaping Spiders but I mix it up frequently to test stuff out too).
Infested Toads can be kinda fun. Especially on maps like BoE of Infernal Shrines where you can frequently stand far back and just dump ass loads of spiders all over everyone from a safe distance. Just in general it lets you flood the screen with spiders. Still not certain if it's worth losing the ability to stay on target with the leaps though.
I've tried other stuff at 4 but it's such a shit tier with the generics of middling use I just stick with more spiders cause that's always good.
When it's a long game of back and forth (BoE, dragon, Raven), infested toads is the way for me. That with the deep range and extra spider length does so much damage that most of the time goes unseen until it's too late.
Naz can pump out some serious dps with that but it's over time. He's a good dps and sieger but his trait just doesn't seem that useful.
Sure getting mana and HP perma buffs help but it's nothing compared to zag creep or Sylvanas building possession thingie.
Maybe a more subtle change to his trait that makes it more technically useful would make him tops.
Actually, maybe the biggest drawback to Naz is that he can't target his spiders.
A simple minion wave will distract the spiders away from a hero.
Unlike Anub's scarabs that attack whoever he's attacking, or other such summons that always prioritize heroes over non-heroes.
Even in a fight, since he can't focus his spiders on a single person, there's zero potential for "burst" dmg if the fight is a cluster with more than one enemy in proximity.
He's a lot of fun though.
Good zombie wall snares are an easy way to lift anyone's spirits.

Everyone knows they just need to work Deatg Ritual into his trait cause it's stupid to have a talent receive agrees you take at lvl1 and it would give his trait something more.
God damn I have been loving New!Rehgar. I finally got the chance to have a solo-Q team that I was comfortable enough with to go full Lightning Shield + Bloodlust, and boy is it fun.
Is today the beginning of week 3? I lose track of these thing so easily. Like once they've been out more than 5 days my sense of time pretty much goes out the window.

calling them auto-attack damage accidentally makes it possible to suggest that they should be benefitting from zagara's autoattack talents
terminology just a nitpick of mine, continue :P
well, the real question is:
can you blind a baneling and make its explosion miss?
edit: like because I don't think I've ever heard blizz use the "physical" terminology before, maybe I just missed it
