the only band I like that screams is Alexisonfire, and the pretty lady makes me want to find more

Scream-ish metalcore? Buuuuuh, you should ask in the hesher thread.

I like Botch and Every Time I Die. They're not that exactly but I feel pretty good about recommending them. Maybe Converge if you want something a little harder.

About the only bands from high school and college that work for me still are AFI (but none of the new stuff after Sing the Sorrow), Brand New, Taking Back Sunday, Tiger Army, Senses Fail (Life is not a waiting room), old Chevelle, and that's it.

it's so weird to think about how much metal and hardcore i used to listen to. going to shows every other week and only wearing band t-shirts.

I find it's super dependent on the vocalist. I can like the instrumental stuff just fine but if the vocals don't click for me, noooope.

I guess I liked nine inch nails in high school, soooo they survived?

There isn't really much else I listen to still from then. I guess occasionally 90s AFI.

Yeah I had roughly the same reaction to those videos that Due posted. Instrumental stuff is rocking, I'm all "ok this is cool", and then the singer comes in and I lose interest.

I did not develop eclectic musical tastes until...well I'll let you know when it happens.

But my high school music was Metallica and Garth Brooks.

I saw this post before I saw the video it was about.

So in a vacuum I was like, oh, did Shiv have a really good date recently?

Yes, and her date gave a full throated endorsement.

Maybe one you pay at the beginning of the month and the other at the end of the month? Idk, I know I have the $30 prepaid plan and it's great but I didn't even know they still offered it! When I got it I know it was only available to first time customers. But that was in the midst of T-Mobile re-branding and changing up all their plans.

but yeah off the top of my head Arch Enemy has been lead by a female vocalist for quite some time. Lots of good content there. I am afraid i cannot help you further though :(

While we are all posting music have I ever mentioned how much I love what happens when bands that make heavy use of sampling and drum machines and so forth appear on Later... with Jools Holland, who insists that everything is played live
