I'm going to lunch, Geth apparently can see the future as he always chooses me at the worst possible times.

Should I get some Wegman's Pizza, Geth?

Saying that all women should choose to work is like rating a movie a 0 because the average is a 9 and you think it should be a 5, i.e. all women aware of feminism should work to counterbalance the expectations set by non-working women who don't care.

It's not a line of reasoning I like but it's not uncommon in several areas and is accepted as par for the course with "swing for the fences" idealistic political policy, so it's pretty understandable. Of course, it still involves telling people they're wrong so it gets people very upset.

I can borrow against my 401 to pay it all off and get my truck fixed which will drop the payments from $600 a month to $300 and I'm paying myself back with my own money, plus I can take care of the transmission and most of my credit card debt (which was $0 until this shit started) in the process, it just sucks because they hit hard and I don't understand a) why I owe it if they're going to fuck around and b) what choices I have.

I mean I get it, I borrowed the money (at least with Sallie Mae, don't know about this other one) and when I filed CH13 to pay off ALL of my debts and get my mistakes from my early 20s sorted out before I got married and was responsible for another person, I listed them.

Now if they had decided to pass on the plan then yeah, I'd have still owed them, they have that right (and I could have objected) but they did file. A YEAR LATE. They fucked around and said "whoops, we totes meant to file because you did what you were supposed to and contacted us" and they were turned down by the court, who is now saying "yeah they suck, but it's student loans so you should still pay them"

They fucked up the law, but unless I want to spend more than what I owe them to take this to court for the next five years, I have to pay.

If I ever do have a child they will have 0 student loans. They will go to school on a scholarship or grant, pay for it with a job or with my financial assistance, or they'll join the army. No loans.

are YOU on the beer list?

    yeah we would

staying home with your kids doesn't only mean staying home for a year with your kids, or even 2 or 5 years.

FMLA would not fix negative BS directed at people for daring to suggest that raising kids is an actual job choice you can spend 2 decades doing full time.

I'm not sure how they let hitting someone with your car at full speed while your turbo is going do so little damage
