That has always kind of been Angel's thing though. Like in one of her past supers she describes herself as "19, single, and something of a naughty girl".
Don't forget, getting hit by your opponent builds your V gauge rapidly! So playing completely gimped with Balrog lets you build two resources efficiently! Truly, STSFN.
But just like in previous SFs, I also think that there can be real fun in pretending to charge even one long TAP, just to mess with your opponent's head. "Oh, he isn't using normals X and Y! He must be charging a TAP! Time to take advan-" *GET PUNCHED*

Mai Shiranui is coming to DOA5. Because they didn't have enough busty ninjas. They're also going to be offering SNK-inspired costumes.
I'm curious how they will adapt Mai's 2D fighting style to a 3D style. Also, it kind of blows my mind that DOA5 is going to feature characters from Virtua Fighter and KOF. It became a crossover game so gradually I barely noticed.
that feeling when you get to the character select menu for the first time, scroll through the options, pick the one you like best, then find out this character has the most punishing and confusing input barriers available.
it's called laziness.
at least the simpler alternatives don't seem that bad.
I'm okay with any conspiracy that puts Justin on the throne.
Bee or SonicFox would be acceptable substitutes.
Marn would be hilarious but seems impossible.
They're especially looking at the disparity for foreign player brackets compared to what Justin in particularly ended up with, though some of that is part of the mandatory CPT seeding.
To get to top 8, the only major foreign players Justin Wong has a chance of playing against are Fuudo, Itabashi Zangief, and I guess Luffy. And none of those come before late semis. He's also in there with Marn and Ricky.
On the other hand, you have some death groups like C. Daigo, Tokido, Mago, Poongko, Haitani, et al. And there are 4 groups, with only 2 players from each making it to top 8 (1 winners, 1 losers). Group B has Xian, Momochi, and Kazunoko, amongst others. Group D has Infiltration, Sako, and Gamerbee.
Of course, some people are trying to blame ESPN pulling strings to guarantee there's at least 1 American in the top 8. The biggest concern should actually be that you don't have Tokido eliminating Poongko in some early off-stream pools match.
If you want to see what it's like even getting to top 32:
Justin Wong #1 in CPT points, not even top 8 in odds. What was the last major event that Luffy has won in SFV? Yet he's #9, ahead of Xiao Hai and on par with Justin Wong.
In conclusion, I should put all my money on Lupe Fiasco.
Since I'll probably be out most of tomorrow, I may as well post all the stream info now.
(all times are PDT unless stated otherwise)
Friday is mostly panels and side games. There's a general Capcom and Street Fighter panel, plus Cross Counter stuff and some Killer Instinct stuff, but it seems like they aren't getting streamed, so whatever.
Of the Friday games, I'd recommend UNIEL and Melty Blood. Both by the same devs, but wildly different gameplay. Melty is a classic doujin air-dash fighter with a lot of vertical action and heavy rushdown with strong oki. UNIEL is a more grounded game with a bigger emphasis on footsies and spacing, with every other character throwing out full-screen hit confirms.
The other games will be on Saturday. Check out GG and Arcana Heart, maybe Dengeki Bunko if you want to see some goofy Sega x Anime crossover action. And, of course, competitive Catherine.
For non-anime options on Friday, you have Soulcalibur 2, KOF 13, Third Strike, MVC2 teams, and MVC3 teams. They've moved KOF 14, CVS2, SFxT, and Marvel to Saturday.
Marvel, Killer Instinct, and Mortal Kombat are all on Saturday, along with more SF and smash pools, and Tekken 7 and Pokken top 8s.
You can use this player locator to figure out who is playing when, if you want to track particular matches. Not sure how accurate it is for the streams, but it should at least give you an idea who when their matches can start.
Alternately, this tracker will update with specific match-ups and results.
You can try and track their specific pools on the streams, I guess. I'm half-asleep already, so not well equipped to do number things. On Friday, they're only playing groups A-F, which means any pools matches in I-K won't happen till Saturday. That includes matches from Infiltration, Brolylegs, Flash Metroid, Filippinoman, Juicebox, PR Balrog, Wolfkrone, Haitani, and Poongko, amongst others. And if you want to see Gootecks drown, you'll have to wait on Saturday for that as well.
It looks like Capcom Fighters is general pools matches from every group, probably picking whatever looks good. srkevo1 has A and B, srkevo3 has C and D. Or something like that. Whatever. It's 3am. If you want to see your player, look up their group and the time it starts, then watch the streams going at that time. That's the best I can do right now.
It looks like EVO just went ahead and used the colour unlock exploit on all the consoles to get them ready for the tournament. This, less than 24 hours after Capcom announced they were going to hunt down and destroy anyone using the exploit.
But don't make unlocking the colours any less stupid, Capcom. Don't do that.

Oh boy that Angel Climax Super.
I haven't been much of an SNK player since the late 90s.
Yeezus Christ!

Full charging 2 turn punches and then another turn punch for stun, and then super. Definitely a top evo strat.
