In the books there are some throwaway lines about prophecies that may or may not happen and I am largely convinced what you saw isn't a spoiler to anyone because it falls in that column. It's a whole "thing" from the books that has been completely ignored by the writers for many seasons now and it would not be likely to show up at this point.

well its likely there wont be an after, so prequels might be the only way to go. Dunk and Egg seems like it'd be a safe bet for one of them.

Isn't there a fight during that whole Dance of fhe Dragons Targaryen civil war where two guys riding their dragons have a mid air battle and one jumps off his dragon onto the other guy's dragon and stabs him in the eye and both of them and their dragons fall to their deaths?
