Hurricane Matthew is tracking to side swipe the SC/NC/VA coasts on Saturday according to the latest weather projection. ACC Conference posted that schools are monitoring the situation but no delays/cancellations announced yet.
Top 25 games that may be affected include:
Virginia Tech at North Carolina
Houston at Navy (Annapolis)
Michigan at Rutgers (if the storm gets that far north between 7:00-10:30 PM)
Florida St. at Miami (more post-hurricane cleanup issues than live weather)
LSU at Florida might be a bit soggy at game time Saturday, as well.

WEEK 6: IN WHICH WE TRY TO RECOVER FROM WHAT LAMAR JACKSON AND DESHAUN WATSON DID, AND FAIL MISERABLY
Straight-Up (spread in parenthesis courtesy of ESPN)
Texas vs. #20 Oklahoma (-10.5) - THE RED RIVER RIVALRY! Turns out Oklahoma was probably not as bad as those losses to Houston and Ohio State would suggest, and they look to be in the driver's seat in the Big 12 again. Texas might not be as good as that victory over Notre Dame would suggest. And yet......last year we thought this would be a cakewalk for Oklahoma, and they ended up losing a game that gave Charlie Strong another year. Good thing Texas boosters are already leaking that Strong is gone at the end of the year already!
#25 Virginia Tech @ #17 North Carolina (-2.5) - Did you know that Virginia Tech was ranked again? Me neither! Turns out Justin Fuente is a good coach. Meanwhile North Carolina beat Florida State on the road last week, which normally would be a big win, except this is 2016 where nothing makes sense and FSU appears to be average at best. Still, #ACCWheelofDestiny rolls on.
#21 Colorado @ USC (-4.5) - Speaking of teams that are ranked again, Colorado! Welcome back to the 1990s, where I steal a joke to mention that Colorado and Washington are good again, and a Clinton is running for president. USC came back from the dead to actually show up against a bad ASU team, but let's see how they do against a Colorado team that wants to prove it belongs in the South conversation.
#23 Florida State @ #10 Miami (-3) - Quick reminder that Georgia fired Mark Richt because of his penchant for losing games like this, and then hired a new coach that appears to be just as good at losing games like this. The big question here is whether the CANES ARE BACK or whether FSU can regroup in time to save their season.
Washington State @ #15 Stanford (-7.5) - Wazzu got a solid victory over Oregon last week, and their offense looks to have rounded into form. Which is good, because this Stanford team looks very vulnerable after getting physically manhandled by Washington last week. Opponents have keyed in on Stanford's lack of a solid QB option, so someone on the Cardinal needs to step up, otherwise this year could get bad in a hurry.
Against-the-Spread (spread in parenthesis courtesy of ESPN)
#6 Houston (-17) @ Navy - Houston's big problem right now is they won't play a good team until November, so right now they're stuck just winning games. Oh the horror. Navy is a traditionally-tough team to face during the season, because the triple-option is death to play. Yet, this is a Navy team that no longer has their amazing QB from years past, and it showed in their loss to Air Force last week.
Indiana @ #2 Ohio State (-29) - TEAM CHAOS got an upset victory over Sparty last week, and they're 29 point underdogs here. I'm not sure what that says about Ohio State that the people setting this line believe the Buckeyes can escape the gravitational vortex of TEAM CHAOS, but here we are.
#1 Alabama (-14) @ #16 Arkansas - Alabama pulled off the upset over Ole Miss a few weeks ago, and now have to go through one hell of a workout here against the Razorbacks before we get to the Third Weekend in October next week. Arkansas is ahead of where they normally are at this point of the year, so this should be good.
#5 Washington (-8.5) @ Oregon - Can Washington break the 12-game losing streak in this rivalry? Especially in a game where Mark Helfrich might be coaching for his job? Yeah probably; Oregon is real bad this year.
GAME OF THE CENTURY OF THE WEEK (spread in parenthesis courtesy of ESPN) (AGAINST THE SPREAD)
#9 Tennessee @ #8 Texas A&M (-6.5) - Texas A&M has looked like the more consistent team, especially in wins over UCLA and Arkansas. The Volunteers needed a miracle to beat Georgia last week, and haven't really looked very good for an entire game all year. Also, just from personal experience, Kyle Field is probably the most unfun place to play at on the road, so good luck Tennessee!
damn you Nirya Texas vs. Oklahoma - Charlie strong is fully running the defense. Maybe that makes a difference. Who fucking knows with this inconsistent team (it's actually been pretty consistently bad on defense).
Virginia Tech @ North Carolina Colorado @ Southern California
Florida State @ Miami
Washington State @ Stanford
ATS Houston (-17) @ Navy
Indiana @ Ohio State (-29) Alabama (-14) @ Arkansas Washington (-8.5) @ Oregon

FSU on the list again. I can't pick against them, especially not when playing the Hurricanes. I would say its an anchor on my overall picking record, but my terrible judgement probably takes care of that.

It shouldn't get delayed given the timeline of the storm, I grew up in Miami, they are prepared and it won't impact them too much given the current track. That said not having it here would be somewhat merciful as I have no choice but to pick my team but my seething anger over their performance last week still burns. I emphasize that I've been a season ticket holder even back in the lost decade and having to watch that game and ending is up there in terms of pure rage and sadness in my mind.
some guy is reporting on twitter that Texas is trying to form a new conference without Oklahoma, and that the other big twelve members don't care that OU would be excluded because Nebraska has informed them that they want to come back
this makes total sense and is not just some silly bullshit that likely has little to no basis in reality

Straight-Up
Texas vs. Oklahoma - OU is a pretty good team that's played two of the best teams in the nation this year and struggled. Texas is not one of those teams
Virginia Tech @ North Carolina - I don't think UNC is much behind where they were last year and they get this game at home.
Colorado @ Southern California - I'm not really sure I believe the Colorado return at the moment.
Florida State @ Miami - FSU isn't good. Washington State @ Stanford - I'll regret this but WSU is too fun. I wish the air-raid was mandatory.
ATS Houston (-17) @ Navy - Houston is actually good and playing weak teams for a while.
Indiana @ Ohio State (-29) - My wounded pride makes me want to pick team chaos, and the spread is huge, but in the shoe I just don't know.
Alabama (-14) @ Arkansas - Bama doesn't seem quite as dominant defensively as they were last year and this is a tough road contest for anyone. Washington (-8.5) @ Oregon - Not even 10 points? Yeah I'll take that all day.
GOTW (AGAINST THE SPREAD)
Tennessee @ Texas A&M (-6.5) - Tenn is definitely fun to watch if you're not a fan and don't have to deal with 8 weekly heart attacks. Don't really trust them to keep the magic going against a top tier opponent in one of the toughest road environments in the SEC.

Straight-Up Texas vs. Oklahoma - I am letting my faith in friendship overcome my good senses here. Go @Oghulk ! If this was an anime, there would be a sparkly transformation about now.
Virginia Tech @ North Carolina -After UNC came out of the Noles, I am not going to underestimate them again. Colorado @ Southern California - The Buffs are totally coming back, ya'll. Also: fuck USC, go UCLA.
Florida State @ Miami - Mark Richt can handle rivalry games that don't involve certain coaches in Ohio. Washington State @ Stanford - Stanford gonna shit that bed.
ATS Houston (-17) @ Navy - I don't have faith in Navy.
Indiana @ Ohio State (-29) - Are you kidding? Ubran Meyer has no fucking mercy. He beat the shit out of a team that was coached by a guy who used to be on his staff. By 41 fucking points. Alabama (-14) @ Arkansas - Roll tide. Washington (-8.5) @ Oregon - What the hell happened that caused such a reversal of fortune?
GOTW (AGAINST THE SPREAD)
Tennessee @ Texas A&M (-6.5) - Fuck da Vols.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
The CHAOS TEAM is actually kinda good, y'all. Beating MSU wasn't a fluke. Unless Lagow is throwing picks all day long. Which is how they lost to Wake.
Self-righteousness is incompatible with coalition building.

yup, definitely legit
LOL at the idea of Nebraska joining a conference with Texas again. That was a not small reason they left the 12. That and Beebe.
The B10 is a lot more fair in their dealings for all the schools
Have read that Bob Devaney wanted us in the B10 when he became the AD and Osborne took over as coach. Kinda wish it woulda happened back then so we would have some rivalries built up.
As it is, I don't have much dislike for any other B10 team. Not the way I did for Mizzou, Ksu, Texas and especially Colorado. Miss that because it makes the games more intense to watch.
I hope the Big 12 falls apart so Texas stops being a big dick in their conference and joins the B1G or the SEC
We're a small fish in the B12 and we need somewhere to land. It can fall apart just as soon as we've secured a new gig.
Whats your school cause im a Texas alum and i hate our big swinging lbj dick need to boss everything around.
Like no can we please just stop and go somewhere else
....Iowa State
You are like
one of the few acceptable Big 12 teams that I don't hate
the unfortunate thing about iowa state though is they don't have the bball team that Kansas does, so if the Big 12 breaks up they'd probably go down to G5 unless the football program bounces back soon

oh, will I be ever so pissed if it gets moved up (I have a commitment earlier in the day, so I won't be able to make it)
Rutgers, you screw everything else up, don't screw this up.
And yes, I know they technically have no control over the weather. But I'll blame them anyway, because Buttgers.
S&P projects the playoff order right now based on performance and remaining schedule, they say:
1) Michigan/Ohio State winner
2) Clemson
3) Alabama
4) Washington
5) Houston
Kitty...
Except Notre Dame. They can lose every game.
