LSU @ Florida has been "postponed" with no makeup date announced.

They both have tomato cans the weekend before Thanksgiving, so that's a possible day.

Let's be fair and give them Penn State, which has some history of success in football.

If Texas leaves the Big 12 it falls apart. Plain and simple.

We are basketball relevant at times but not constantly like KU. I would like to think just from the enrollment size and facilities and what have you that some power 5 conference would pick us up.

Things seem to be turning a bit though. I did NOT expect the Baylor game to be even remotely competitive and we let the win completely get away in the 4th.

I am downgrading my status from "optimistically suicidal" to "morbidly hopeful"

    Jack Picks!

    Texas vs. Oklahoma
Virginia Tech @ North Carolina - Jack took a while to decide this one, and even licked his lips a little. Delicious.
    Colorado @ Southern California
Florida State @ Miami - Jack also took an inordinate amount of time to decide this one, and in doing so he made me rethink how I will decide how Jack 'chooses' games in the future.
Washington State @ Stanford Jack was so fucking unimpressed by both of these teams.

    ATS
    Houston (-17) @ Navy -
    Indiana @ Ohio State (-29)
    Alabama (-14) @ Arkansas
    Washington (-8.5) @ Oregon

All of the ATS games were decided by a 'new rule' which goes by if Jack jumps up and licks my face when I say the team name, then he has picked that team. And for every ATS game, he chose he games like that.

    GOTW (AGAINST THE SPREAD)
    Tennessee @ Texas A&M (-6.5)

If Texas and the others came to the PAC, we'd see an Old School PAC 8 and then everyone else in the other division.

Going to be at the A&M and Tennessee game this weekend, pretty excited. I'm sure it will go better than the last time I saw them play. Pretty sure they just played Rocky Top the whole time and it was the worst New Years Day ever.

Texas vs. #20 Oklahoma (-10.5) - Man, I really want to believe that Texas can make it two in a row and beat Oklahoma in this rivalry game. Going to stick with the Longhorns for the upset but Charlie Strong is going to need almost every 50/50 call to go his way and capitalize on every opportunity given to the team. Oklahoma will not be fooled twice with pride on the line and the stakes this high in the Big 12.

BOLD Prediction Time: Texas Wins, Strong keeps his job no matter how Texas finishes this year, and Bob Stoops finds himself in the hot seat immediately after the game and will do the popular thing lately and fire/change up the defensive coaching.

#25 Virginia Tech @ #17 North Carolina (-2.5) - News Flash, people: Virginia Tech didn't even play last week and only got in the Top 25 because everyone else fell out of the rankings, got conveniently shuffled in with the four other previously non-ranked teams that DID play, and Western Michigan doesn't get any love from the press voters. I'm not sold on the Hokies. As long as the weather holds in Chapel Hill and NC is fully aware they stole one away from Florida St. it should be a Tar Heel win.

#21 Colorado @ USC (-4.5) - OK, Arizona St., you suck. Get out, you embarrass me! Colorado, learn from Arizona State's errors and do not disappoint me...

#23 Florida State @ #10 Miami (-3) - There is going to be a lot of emotion and wild things going on in the state of Florida with Matthew churning off the Atlantic coast this weekend so this game is going to bring a welcome sense of normality and comfort on a Saturday, maybe Sunday, night to a lot of Floridians. Going with the home team and the home crowd after persevering in the face of a real hurricane.

Washington State @ #15 Stanford (-7.5) - OK, Stanford, time to chase down that freight train that blasted you right off the Pac-12 North path and keep pace with it and hope for a hiccup. You can start by getting past that train's little brother. Be careful, though, they tend to score points at a pretty solid pace. Also, PAC-12 After Dark potential here.

    Against-the-Spread

#6 Houston (-17) @ Navy - As long as Houston dictates how the game flows and takes care of the football they should have this.

Indiana @ #2 Ohio State (-29) - Same here with the Buckeyes. Sorry, Hoosiers, but keep it simple and safe and gear up for a more manageable home game vs. Nebraska next week.

#1 Alabama (-14) @ #16 Arkansas - Oh, look, a nice manageable two touchdown spread for Alabama. At the rate they can score at, this should not be a problem despite going on the road vs. Arkansas.

#5 Washington (-8.5) @ Oregon - After the way Washington dismantled Stanford's defense last game a nine point victory should be manageable on the road and the start of their division lead defense begins here. Oregon, despite two close losses from Nebraska and Colorado, will continue to struggle to find the answers on how to salvage this season.

GAME OF THE CENTURY OF THE WEEK (ATS)

#9 Tennessee @ #8 Texas A&M (-6.5) - Tennessee, you have been fun to watch so far this year, but beating A&M at their house is going to take more than all the luck you have already spent in winning the way you have against App St., Florida, and Georgia. Texas A&M appears to be the more solid team in offense and defense and should be capable in wearing down the Vols and get a 7 point or more victory.

The Big 12 can collapse after we get confirmation that the American gets bumped into the P5 to fill the gap.

(Yes, I know that won't happen, but I can dream.)

Was lookin at stats last night, and man, Mack Brown was really fucking good at Texas. During his Tenure we were 158-48, or 77% win rate, and if you only do from when he started to 2009 and discount the final 4 years we were at 81%.

Wonder what shit they'll name him after on campus cause that man deserves some recognition.

So since we were talking about this

I can dig a jump to the B1G with OU. Keeps the rivalry even if they're school sucks :rotate:

    and for motivation for tomorrow

I'd love to have OU in the same division as NU to get that old rivalry back.

But i'm so tired of watching my team lose to Texas. Not even Osborne was immune to losing to them

    In terms of school

great Academics, one of the winningest school programs ever (#3!) time zone is similar

also if anyone was still wondering how the fuck we got 3 PAT blocked

it's cause they went over the long snapper's head and should've been getting multiple penalties :rotate: thanks refs!

It would be a conference with a good number of the most profitable schools in the nation, not just in terms of revenue but also in terms of viewership. It'd be a move that really puts the B1G and the SEC as the two largest conferences in terms of money. This is a lot of why I think Texas will go to the B1G and the SEC will attempt to pick up some of the leftovers like Tech, TCU, etc.

the way Rutgers fans act like they own and are entitled to NJ prospects is pathetic

if they want in-state recruits to commit, maybe they should make something, anything, about their program even vaguely appealing

1869: Played Princeton in a rugby match with slightly different rules the first ever college football game
2014: Some dumbass let them into the Big Ten
