PSA: While the different in weapon damage between a blue and purple quality weapon isn't all that much the jump between purple and legendary is pretty huge. At 8 tempering alloys for 100% change with max improvement passive, I suppose it had to be to justify the material cost.
I have now officially advertised Ash Housewares on Reddit, with the intent/hope of getting us to 50 members.

I trust y'all pretty well and you've done a good job handling the Guild Bank in PAX Arcadia, so I will likely give anyone from this thread bank access if y'all want in on it.

Does anybody want to be an officer with recruiting power? "Steel Angel" , you seem pretty interested in crafting as a whole, so you're one of my first picks.

I'm happy to help out though I may not do much actual recruiting so much as admin stuff and absorbing information to pass on.

Do you know if there is any benefit to saving writ bags for the patch? Someone in zone chat mentioned it so I've been saving mine but I never followed up to see if it was actually worthwhile.

I think the word has been that you don't get the new rewards from old bags.

What I have been doing is not using up any crafting surveys though.

Small guide someone put up. The bit on backing out of a master writ to examine its needs and decide if you want to use it or give it to someone else is handy.

I have officially fallen down the hole hard on this damn game.

I just map completed the Daggerfall Covenant (eg, all Delves and Striking Locales) and got all the skyshards. Haven't done any quests there yet except a few random Delve and Public Dungeon quests I did for shits & giggles. I STILL don't have enough skill points to do all the things I want >|

I'm CP140... I think I should probably do Craglorn next, then the Aldmeri Dominion for SKYSHARDQUEST 2.0

It's going to drive me absolutely fucking insane that I can't get all the skyshards in Cyrodiil. ...

Unless... well, my main is actually Ebonheart Pact. Would some of you fine and lovely AD people want to bodyguard escort me thru Cyrodiil to get at least the AD skyshards...? I would gladly do the same on the EP side.

Don't forget that 3 main quests in each non-starter zone gives a skill point and each dungeon has a quest that gives one as well. That plus the one you get from beating the real boss of a public dungeon has been a significant source of skill points since I hit CP levels.

Keep in mind 4 of the Cyrodiil shards are behind the enemies gates (2 per side), so it's pretty rare to get opportunities to get those. Even if the gate is open you have to run past a fair amount of enemy NPC guards which do a fair bit of damage, but I was able to get by on my nightblade by dodging a ton and by breaking LoS as soon as I could when I got past the gate.

Just riding around Cyrodiil solo to get shards I only encountered players twice that weren't near active conflicts, So really as long as you avoid where the conflicts are and stealth up when necessary you should be fine.

One other thing about Cyrodiil is many of the delves have 3-4 minibosses so if you go in and kill a couple sometimes you get lucky and the others spawn but you might have to run around and kill the first couple again a few times to get them to appear. So if you care about completing the delves (not finishing them drives me nuts unfortunately) make sure you check how many minibosses are in there.

I also learned the other day that public dungeon icons will turn white on the map even if you haven't done the group challenge in them (which grants a skill point) so I have to go back to a couple to finish those. The icon seems to turn white for public dungeons if you've done the quest-line inside rather than if you've defeated all the minibosses like for a delve.

I'm holding off on doing the main quests just yet only because 1. they take longer than just running around getting skyshards and 2. I don't want to burn myself out on the storylines by doing them over and over. I will do them eventually, of course, if only because Cadwell's. Also, yeah, moar skillz.

I HAVE gotten a bunch of public dungeon bosses! If you want to keep track of those, they're under "X dungeon group challenge" in Achievements. I'm at the point where I can actually solo most of them. There is ONE that you actually cannot do unless you have at least one friend with you, though (it's the Public Dungeon in Alikir, you have to solve a puzzle to spawn the boss and it requires 2 people standing simultaneously on a series of pressure plates).

Hey with that said, if y'all wanna do that boss, hit me up next time you see me.

The problem with my main EP character in Cyrodiil is that she's not very stealthy. Like, at fucking all. She's a Dunmer pyromancer. I guess though that I COULD go grind a few maps to get her the two Medium armor sets that reduce your stealth detection radius, though :\a Last time I tried, I was fine in the open world, but the second I'd enter a delve it'd be full of Aldmeri guys, and they don't seem content to just let anybody go in and get skyshards. I would make EVERY indication that I had no intention of fighting, incl. emoting stuff like /surrender, /cower, /playdead, but nope, they go straight for murder-time. it's like dudes I'm not even trying for an objective I literally just want this skyshard, why you gotta be like this?

I have discovered that I still cannot solo Craglorn group delve bosses even after becoming able to solo some normal group dungeon bosses.

A dude that does 8k damage just by looking at me is not fun times with 18k hp buffed. And I've started researching the 8th trait on some armor slots so it's a good time to take a break from dungeon runs to take care of the group quest stuff with folks soonish.

@Nullum and I randomly ran into each other in Craglorn yesterday and did some stuff. We could get together a wee Craglorn group for sure.

With that said, get your HPs up to 20k buffed with enchants or something, you'll have a much better time. I am currently at 20k and while 8k hits still hurt like a beast, you are MUCH more able to recover from them. Also, if you're running Light armor, Harness Magika will save your ass.

I am able to solo MANY Craglorn group delve bosses with my DK DPS build as long as they don't bring in too many adds. I actually have more trouble with large groups of mobs because it gets harder to reliably land Burning Embers to heal myself :\ ... but being a DK probably helps (THEM SELF-HEALS)

Also with that said, being a Dunmer DK with champ points in the one that gives you even more elemental resistance makes ANY boss that uses primarily fire attacks a big joke. Like, "ehehe that tickles :V " I'm at the point where my base Fire Resistance is 2k, and I'm considering getting a vampire bite because Fire damage at this point is a big fat WHATEVER BRUH.

Stamblade's lack of self sustain is well documented. Probably would go easier if I had Vigor but I don't feel like grinding PvP points until the update makes that less of a pain. This one boss is particularly unpleasant due to the ranged attacks and seeing through stealth. A few attempts involved being dead by the time I closed to melee range before I realized I'd have to just roll in closer instead of trying to sneak up.

Next time I'm on, hit me up and we'll go together. I have a Resto/support build I can swap into if you need it, or I can do what I did yesterday and just vomit fire everywhere.

*e* I guess the one advantage of having a character who is abysmally bad at stealth is that I never have to worry about it if a boss can see through stealth. I am already a drunken West Virginia 4th of July party with all the fireworks I'm tossing off, who cares if he can see me while I'm kinda crouching a bit.

I've been doing Thieve's Guild main quest lately (+the others) and I am just loving it! Absolutely phenomenal DLC. I try to gather lots and lots of money for my own little place when the patch hits live. It's so easy to steal stuff now because assassins kill everyone in the game, hardly had to use sneak in the past few days. Well, community is booming, that is always nice.

And I've been collecting books and skyshards too, my aim is to collect every single book in the game. My favorite thing in ES games, I just love books.

Originally I went completely blind to find those, but after doing that for DC I just thought that I've earned the right to use some map mods to find the rest... Ooh, and I am fishing a lot too, need them all fishes!

And I found this great alchemy mod where you can choose what effects you want for your potion and then it lists all possible potions with the ingredients you have. Even those you haven't researched yet. I want to hit 50 in every craft. Enchanting takes ages, it is so slow to progress.

I don't have motivation to do many quests right now, I do one every once in a while if I am in that area anyway. Really loving the freedom we now have in this game!

Is there an ESO guild in EU server? It would be nice to join one... I feel that I'm in the minority here though, feels like most are playing on the US side.

Been awhile since playing but looking forward to getting back into it soon now that scaling content and housing is a thing and Morrowind coming up.

I've always played with a sub but seriously thinking of just buying the DLC and getting it over with. Crafting is easy in this game but I don't need it, I can join some shopping guilds and get by without a crafting bag.

And lets be honest, if I do sub, I'm never going to use the free crowns to buy the new content like I say I am, I just do stupid shit with it like buy new guars and play The Fashion Scrolls.

And Zenimax Online know it. They know it.
