What's the recommended mod list for Skyrim, these days? Aside from SkyUI. And Realistic Horse Vaginas, of course.
There's a couple mod series that I recommend, including "Sounds of Skyrim:" and "Towns and Villages Enhanced:" each of which upgrades the sonic and visual landscape of various parts of the game in cool ways.
A huge amount of mine was, but I ended up really enjoying Frostfall and a number of crafting mods (adding new things to craft etc). Also beards that grow over time

I haven't had a gaming PC since high school, so I've only played TES games on console, unmodded.

I'm at the point in my Skyrim playtime where mods are needed to keep my focus
most of my time has been piecemeal, and spread over multiple characters
trying to get that one character that does everything I want to do
plus I haven't ever finished Dawnguard, and barely touched Dragonborn
there's still a lot of life in Skyrim
Miss me? Find me on:

I clocked 270 hours in Skyrim and got all the Steam achievements with no mods. I could see myself going back to the Deluxe Edition or whatever it's called and experimenting with some mods, but with very few exceptions mods make me feel uneasy. I don't know why, but whenever I encounter something that I know wasn't in the base game, it makes me feel like I'm not playing it right.
I make exceptions for graphical enhancements and ridiculous overhauls like Long War, but anything in between is troublesome.

This will also depend on whether you're playing the Skyrim Special Edition or the original. I found SE to be much better optimized, but there are fewer mods because enough has changed that some mods would have to be manually ported.
Basically all the typical "essential" mods are up to date, though. I'm currently using Static Mesh Improvement, Climates of Tamriel, Live Another Life, a perk overhaul mod that I can't remember the name of (just look at the top rated SE mods on the SE nexus and you'll find it), and a mod that adds a bunch of cool new spells (again, it's in the top-rated list).
Pretty basic stuff, mostly. I'd highly recommend the perk mod, though, since it directly supports a bunch of character builds with its various branching perk trees. The stealth trees, especially, get some rad stuff.
EDIT: "Ordinator - Perks of Skyrim" and "Apocalypse - Magic of Skyrim" are the mod names. The latter has a compatibility patch for the former, I believe.
Was gonna say, yes, but you usually see it on the indie scene
Would the Five Nights series count? Like he only made a horror game because he couldn't get past a glitch in his graphical stuff for a kid's game he was trying to make and kept making all the animals horrifying, so switched to making a horror game.
( I have like no interest in the five nights games themselves, but I love the background story of the guy who made them, sad then happy story, real turning lemons into lemonade and climbing out of a dark pit style tale)
There's still things about Fable 2 that I don't think have been equalled elsewhere.
Could you give a few examples? Maybe I just have ungenerous memories of it because I'm so tired of Molyneux always over-promising and under-delivering.

I don't know that someone having bad modeling ability is a "glitch" per se

I...might have something wrong with me, now that I write it all out like that.
