You're right, I forgot to also add in other controllers that are better than Playstation controllers, such as the Dreamcast's, the N64's, the Duke, and the Microsoft Sidewinder Dual Strike

History's greatest monster.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

Even the Power Glove was a better controller. Sure, it didn't work at all and was completely useless, but at least it was more comfortable to use
The dual shock 4 and the Xbone controller are basically the same thing to me. They have essentially the same amount and types of buttons and sticks they only have minor ergonomic differences which amount to 0% change in comfort level for me.
The worst playstation controller is the dual shock 3. Only because those stupid squishy analog sticks with no springy-ness.
The intellivision controller that is just a blocky numeral keypad is the best controller
Didn't it also have a knob you could twist?

SteamWorld Heist is a pretty good game. Shame that NG+ just starts you over with all the characters unlocked (at level 0). I'm not one for mixing up tactics so i'd just go through again with the same people as always. I was hoping I could bust up scrappers with the crazy endgame weapons, alas.
Still a lot of fun though, well worth it.

Go with stairs instead of platforms as your method of descent down pits? It'll be slower, but it'll be safer.
See I've just been digging straight down under my own feet
I honestly havnt even tried building anything, I thought the point of this game is to break things into smaller parts and then vacuum those parts up
Yeah, digging straight down is a good way to kill yourself. Dig diagonally or in some other manner that leaves you a way back up and lets you mine out blocks that you're not standing on.

i started playing this yesterday
it is the cutest but I don't really know what i'm doing
It's so fucking good. I just recently got to the latest area and got me some quantum slimes and boy are they a pain in the dick to keep content. If you don't, they get agitated and can exchange places with a "ghost" version of themselves and so just teleport wherever the fuck, which means they could get anywhere else on my ranch and eat some plorts and make largos and maybe some tarr and then everything is fucked. So I finally got around to adding an auto-feeder to their pen and I also just got the slime toys vending machine from the 7Z Rewards Club so I made a cube thing for them to play with. Also farming up some phase lemons, but for those I need other fruit to exchange for the lemons, but the mint mango and cuberry trees only produce 15 fruits while the phase lemon tree makes 20 lemons so I gotta find extra fruit somewhere to make up the difference.
On top of all that, I'm STILL gathering plorts and resources for the slime science stuff and I'm just super busy spending time on the ranch to make sure my slimes are fed and I'm harvesting my fruits and veggies, then going out in the field to gather more slimes, plorts, look for more treasure pods I haven't opened yet, and collecting more of the slimes I don't have many of (I just need a few more rad slimes and some hunter slimes I think). There's so much to do already, I can't wait for the next big update that adds the final area and three more slime types!
I ain't playing Slime Rancher until it hits full release. I've ruined too many of those sorts of games by early accessing them to death.
Yeah, I also have a similar issue with games that have robust post-release content. It's why I've been holding off on playing Starbound, since a patch is coming soon, and...

Currently I'm holding out for Starcrawlers, which leaves early access the middle of next month. Super excited to play it in its final form!
In contrast, I'm pretty okay with playing Rimworld alphas because it's reminiscent enough of Dwarf Fortress. If there's ample complexity, and no end in sight, I'm cool with cracking open an alpha.
Miss me? Find me on:

Mirage is a neat game, wish the server browser wasn't fucked up though.
@Melding I am going to be on my computer chipping away at a paper but if you end up playing Mirage this evening @ me or PM me or steam message me or whatever and I'll try to hop on for a few rounds

I hated the convex L2 and R2 buttons. Trying to play any racing game for a while and your fingers would start to slide off of them. Blegh.
While I still prefer the Xbox controllers the PS4 controller is just fine.
Spent a bunch of time on a mission, a rescue mission. Find a drone, game says, oh hey, here is a drone, that is super important, let us extract that drone! So I do, wasting a ton of turns and time, having to hack it, get control for two turns, have it shut down, reset, hack it again, over and over, super tedious crap. Get the drone there, ready to take it out and... get a message saying "Hey! You didn't find the person you were supposed to get to the mission so you are going to fail if you warp out." And now I am in like, some no win nightmare scenario with a bunch of elite agents spawning in because I took too long and man, game, get your shit together. If you are going to have high stakes with no save roll backs you better sure as shit have clear messaging as to what needs to be done.
I mean, I agree that moving the drones is tedious at best, but I thought it broke things down clearly enough. There's a primary task - rescue that dude, in your case - and a secondary task.
I'm also pretty sure you're allowed (I don't want to say 'expected') to fail missions. Doubly true of rescue ops. Can't win? Run away and hope you made enough credits to keep moving.
This is based on memories from several months ago, so grain of salt and all that.
edit: just jumped in and failed the second mission. Control complains a bit, but it let me continue to the next mission. Sadly, in my rush to the teleporter, Internationale didn't make it.

Yes. 10 digits and a knob.

you vacuum those parts up into your inventory, and then use what's in your inventory to make things to help you out
