I'm sorry, I thought the Italics denoted anger. On closer inspection, they appear to denote Italics.

I read a collection of Hemingway's short stories while I was on vacation this year, since I read Old Man and the Sea about 10 times and I love it more and more each time.

I gotta say, the short stories were ok, but none of them were even close to Old Man and the Sea. And the whole series of "Up in Michigan" was just plain old boring.

Dudes I read some more of Slaughterhouse Five yesterday

Because I have wierd reading habits

Like, I'll read a sizable portion of a book in one sitting, then forget about it for a week or two, then go back and read a sizable portion of the book in one sitting and so on

Anyway I'm enjoying it so far

Hey, Rank...do you guys ever make it down to Seattle for part of SIFF?

I'm going to make a thread in a day or two, and I'm hoping to get a posse together for a Saturday or two of film watching.

Also, Anthony motherfucking Hopkins will be attending at least two days of screenings this year.

no, can't say I ever have. I'd love to, though, and Lindsay is a fucking film nut, so I know she'd enjoy it too.

    Oh no.

It starts at the end of May, and runs through the third week of June. The full schedule will be posted next week.

For some reason, I thought you two might be into it. It would definitely be cool if you guys could make it down for a day.

Man, we had to read this story in sixth grade. I still reread it periodically.

Also, it's already been made--and very well, I might add--into an episode of the original "Twilight Zone".

It was also made into a black and white film a long time ago by some director who had a total boner for Bierce.

Man, those are both things you read in Freshman Lit. Hit me with something impressive. Give me a lit nerd boner.

We weren't trying to impress you, Pooro; I was recommending some Hemingway to someone who has never read any Hemingway.

This is clearly a lie, as everyone is trying to impress me all the time. Dance, puppets, dance.

And besides, silly, I was just poking fun at that [/english major] thing, not at the reccomendation. Hills is the shit. I adapted it to a screenplay for a writing class one time.
