State of Decay was a really good game. Good mechanics, good enemy mobs, decent crafting system, good base building without having to go all Fallout 4 and design everything from the ground up. Just enough challenge from the timed missions to be fun without turning into Dead Rising.
But I definitely enjoy photorealistic, crazy smoke particles, infinite draw distance etc as well
But chu. Draw distances are about tesselation!
I don't see what a powerful item in the marvel universe has to do with this

Truthfully, we've just started to get to the point where realistic graphics are really a thing, and they both extremes of the binary definitely have their place.
There will never be as big a fidelity jump to the naked human eye for artificial realities as there has been in the last 10-20 years.
