You're walking down a foggy road in Georgia under an evil moon. Suddenly a demon with a grand piano appears before you. "Play the most complicated piano piece in the world or I'll eat your soul," the demon challenges. How do you win?

Hit every piano key simultaneously, repeatedly. No piano song could possibly be more complicated.

"You should have asked for the specifics of my metric for complexity before you tried some smartass bullshit" the demon says as he scarfs down your soul

EDIT: there's so many of these IMPOSSIBLE SONG LOL made with synthesia and so many of them are just... stupid and rather terrible musically. But this one is just downright cool and makes me wish someone would actually do it. You would probably need more than one piano to fit all the people. also, an organ. But still.

I feel like the bigger impediment to playing that on a single piano are the frequent parts where the same note is getting played two (or three!) times at once.

    well, that too.

Mostly I just like it because it's got cool variations on the theme.

I really like the song. Especially the beginning of this version is real fun. Oy polnym pooooolna moya korrrrrrrooooooobushka. If I owned a mandolin I'd totes learn to play it.

Like most traditional russian songs, it's deeply romantic sweet, and also like most traditional russian songs, also tragic.

    EDIT: korrrooooobushka

I rewatched The Life Aquatic tonight

It makes a lot more sense now that I am not 17 years old; it's much more morose than I had appreciated

I made a game! Hotline Maui. Requires mouse and keyboard.

The Life Aquatic is one of those movies that I can tell does what it set out to do very well, I just don't care for what it set out to do. It's not for me.

every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

the "no true scotch man" fallacy.

Hmm this wouldn't be that expensive to do just set aside a couple hundo to hire an actor to do this for an hour or two

Then tenderly lay down roses on your grave only after everyone else has left

You gotta let one friend in on it, though, so they can nudge someone else and say "who's that dude?"

It's no good if nobody sees the guy.

So Legion was mind bending and this is equally out there but grounded while also supernatural and hilarious

These two shows are just elevating the art form

There's just so many ways the movie could have done the same stuff but been better, or been closer to the books. But you can tell they didn't plan to end up here. It's just so disappointing.

Oh well. *hugs copy of The Gunslinger to sleep*

TOS is great. The best episodes are amazing and it's almost never bad without being hilariously so.

One positive thing I can say about the porn tracing "artist" of Day by Day is that (well according to the badcomic webomancers in SE++ several years ago, it could be untrue now) he lives in a trailer and intentionally keeps his income low enough that he legally doesn't have to pay income tax. That's dedication to your whatever the hell he is.
