I love how, when you finish a memory thing for Eris, she’s like “join me, guardian, in my B r o o d i n g C h a m b e r.”
I sincerely like how they're trying to add depth to all these characters who were previously just a list of people who died to make the part of the story we're in more dramatic. When this is all over, Bungie should commission a comic to just tell the story of their Raid, from start to finish.

One thing Eris said during nightfall ordeal run really struck me as interesting.
The Hive hate us. But because we have communed with the pyramid, that they are trying to enter, we are also an object of awe, and beneath that, envy.
Finished Cayde's will.
Really wish i had the option of going out and handing the messages to people, sure they were not the ones who killed him, but still.
GENERAL
Fixed an issue where certain characters in player names and clan fields could cause Squirrel and Weasel errors
Clan names should no longer be truncated
Fixed an issue where Nightmare hunts Time Trial Master triumph would not progress correctly
Fixed an issue where Nightfall: The Ordeal would not drop a powerful reward for players who had already completed the Vanguard Strikes Challenge
Fixed an issue that provoked the temporary deactivation of rally banners and the “Tire Game” in the Sanctuary vendor space on the Moon
Fixed an issue where the Servitor spawning in the Gofannon forge could crash the game
Fixed an issue where running the game as an admin could create a "steam_appid.txt" file that would cause a crash Tuned matchmaking in patrol destinations to increase player population

yaaaaaaaaay
Oh good, it was always annoying having to solo a public event, though I always assumed it was because I was playing in a non-popular place.

Hopefully that servitor spawning glitch fix also fixed the Spider/Black Armory quest step that goes there.

Yep, it did!
In other news, I’m glad I really like the Titan crucible armor, because I’ve been racking up tokens and just straight upgrading it without needing to use up modules.
I gave this game a try yesterday. Started it up, made a character and went through the Destiny 1 prologue thing. Then I got to Earth and the very first thing the tutorial wanted me to do was talk to a guy and then do a Strike. So here I am, new to the game and I get matchmaked into some place with two randos who proceed to run ahead and blitz through to the end leaving me in the dust while characters I have no idea who they are talk to me about some guy i'm here to kill that I also don't know who he is.
Yeah the onboarding needs a LOT of work. If you want to know what's kind of going on, talk to the mechanic at the Tower, she'll give you the ability to do the storyline for base Destiny 2 and the two DLCs.
Is it dumb? Yes, yes it absolutely is.

Also, she’s the one that’s all on her lonesome, on the right hand side of the map. It’s sort of like they’re hiding the the old content in the place nearly no traffic goes.
i went to my parents over the weekend this thanksgiving and gave my brother my geforce now code so he could game on his mac
and he was pumped to start destiny
and watching/helping him for two hours made it abundantly clear that for everything we might complain about this xpac and season, the biggest Bungle far and away is New Light's new player experience. it's straight up garbage. it's really good that the game itself plays well and is fun to play because otherwise hot diggity dog how did they ship it the way that it is????

Again, it is quite frankly unbelievable to me that Destiny’s new player experience is worse than Warframe’s, and will likely be worse still once Warframe rebuilds it later this year!
At least the game itself is simpler and requires less work to get mechanically steady

They've always been a bit weird about pointing players towards the new stuff
Forsaken and Shadowkeep are better about it though, so it's a bit surprising it's so bad for new players
Bahahaha - I have to complete a bunch of random grind quests to even turn in my Iron Banner tokens now? What the fuck, ahahaha
I'm glad Bungie finds new ways to make Iron Banner even less fun every year

It was a little annoying, but it went by pretty quick

Okay, but you know what’s really annoying? When you’re doing a forge run and the boss gets to the end with like 1% health because their fancy drone shield keep popping back up.
I'm pretty sure the drone shield doesn't come back up as long as the boss is taking damage, so if it does then no one damaged it for a bit which makes a 1% wipe even sillier.

In my case, the group of cabal got too thick to deal with, we kept dying
So I started writing a post about old armor but it started to get too long and I was like "No one is gonna wanna read this, I don't even wanna read this". So I'll try to be a bit more brief.
Old stuff with enhanced perks can be worth keeping. Chests/Legs/Arms/Class Items can safely dismantled for the most part. Class items with reserves perks for heavy/special weapons could be worth keeping.
New helms are just ammo finders (which seem to be more effective than the old ones, but that could just be a placebo) and targeting mods (which are pretty much only useful for pvp). Old helms can have various super generating perks (super energy when getting kills with sniper rifles/heavy weapons/melee/etc) that are now spread out among the elements of 2.0 class items. One to really keep an eye out for is heavy lifting and its enhanced version (super energy on heavy weapon kills) since there is no 2.0 mod version of this at all. Old helms also have reserves perks that might be useful.
I don't know if the old super generation perks stack with the new ones or not. New scavenger mods are straight up better than the old perks (one new mod gives the same extra ammo as two old perks, and they don't stack). New and old reserves are the same and stack, but cap out at 2 reserves per weapon. Mixing old and new would let you have two reserves for both your special and heavy though.
1.0 exotic armor all have lousy stat totals. Their mobility/resilience/recovery stats got fucked up in the conversion process and they only have 3 points total in those. So they're generally pretty safe to dismantle and replace with a 2.0 version pulled from your collection. That said, I've got a 1.0 Insurmountable Skullfort that I plan on keeping around because it has Hands-On (super energy on melee kills).

Yeah RiskRunner helps with, just shooting the boss and letting the chain lightening kill everything else.
it's not so bad, you just need to play a large variety of events to get those weekly drops. I only played at launch and stopped before the first dlc as there wasn't much content at the time.
At least now there is plenty to do, and it seems you can still get random prime engrams to drop which can bump you up.
On the first night of IB, just playing that I went from 930 - 945 or something like that

Can’t you do it if you pull a new one out of collections? Or is baked in there

Sadly you can not.
Year 1 weapons don't have mod slots and the old style masterwork, regardless of source.
Uh
Hmm
Scratch this, I can't make it, though if anyone else wants to help Caulk Bite still let him know

Someone mentioned using RiskRunner and it works perfectly. I haven't failed it since. Thanks again to that person
Hahah I didn't even realize shield drones were a thing on my first few forge clears because RiskRunner kept killing them.
The only thing is I think completed catalysts would have to be redone.
Untrue, catalyst progress is always saved
