I'm trying to figure out why Cenarius just didn't show up and wreck everyone
because the story they want to tell is the alliance and horde losing land and they don't really care that much about the details on the way
see for example the fact that alliance and horde armies can both apparently just march up to major capitals without issue
Logistics are meaningless when everyone can mount up and down from Ironforge to Undercity in 5 minutes.
Also blocking supply lines and hit-and-run skirmishes against non-tactical units aren't a thing in a world with portals that can transport entire armies across a planet in 30 seconds.
Man, I just realized I never did the silithus guests that turn off the artifact weapon. I went to go try and do them but I guess the end is just gone? Seems really dumb to remove them with the pre-patch, I kept up on stuff while I was unsubbed but if I hadn't and had just resubbed for the pre-patch I'd be super confused why the artifact was just all of the sudden turned off.
Like they legit just don't explain it in game at all anymore. Sure the silithus stuff wasn't huge, but at least it was something

Basically nobody used this option because it required you to open a menu and also everyone are dicks.

Similar stuff happened in Legion, there was just also the invasions happening in between, with increasing frequency to bridge the gaps
