Intriguing phonecall that I thought was either my mom or brother calling me (it came up as "private number" which both of those privacy-phobes come up as as well [they aren't actually privacy-phobes, they just both work in the public sector :P ])
But it was actually the local mental hospital informing me that they had a spot in one of their vocational training groups
So I'll have orientation for that at some point next week (their people will get in touch with my people, as we put it )

Additional update: I am still the only one awake in this house, I think. I know at least one of the people here has to be at work at 10am, so I assume she'll be dashing out the door in a blurry, half-awake state any minute now. I'll try to toss her a banana as she runs past.

Of the demographics thing it is interesting how we are segregating ourselves by region again. Though the African American reverse great migration, though it isn't 100% that, back to the South is really interesting.
The great migration itself is interesting and full of horror stories and hope and is so deeply American but is really overlooked a lot in schools which is said. It literally repainted the demographics of the United States in a short period of time.

So a lot of the "northern" African American populations that are now famous (Chicago, Detroit, and NYC) are almost all from the great migration and still relatively new compared to historical breakdowns of the city.
Some cities are kind of mixed as DC has been majority African American for decades but was Southern enough to not be a pure target of the great migration but still had a decent influx in that period.

The reason vinyl is a thing is because direct contact between the medium and the output always produces a better, more consistent sound
But a definitive edition of Age 1 I don't know, that's not the Age of Empires you want really. There's not a lot to that game when Age 2 exists.
