So I’ve been playing a lot of Far Cry 5 and aside from the story being pants on head dumb and the devs deciding the best thing would be to periodically kidnap you and force you to interact with said dumbness, the game really is a lot of fun.

And the original music is catchy! And angry! And hopeful in the face of possible armageddon! It’s like Woody Guthrie meets I dunno, a youth pastor with a guitar who smiles a bit too much at the underage girls.

Anyway, this one is my favorite.

This was the first time I’ve ever made a post in that split second before the previous chat closed, that was pretty cool

I just finished Titanfall 2’s campaign, I liked it and it was good but
It’s a bummer they kept the time hopping to that one level because that was by far the coolest thing.

Despite a complete and total absence of Christian-ness in my belief system, I still find myself humming/singing/listening to hymns and gospel music pretty frequently -- Power in the Blood, Down in the River to Pray, John the Revelator, etc.

    It's good music

Religious art in general is pretty great.

I can see what people mean when they say every Batman comic or whatever is technically fan fiction, but there's never a caveat that though this is the case there's still a professional process in place to produce that stuff absent from most of what we think of as fan fiction. Fan fiction carries with it an element of amateur endeavour untouched by an editor and unchecked for quality.

Hecklers at the back may say well that sounds like some of Stephen Kings late output hey-oo.

i believe he watched the new one in netflix

idk how it is in terms of gore or art, he only described the scenes to me and they were emotionally numbing and horrifying

i will probably watch the specific scenes later without the whole series because now i must know

Also, traditionally, the best Batmans and X-Men and etc tend to be made by people who have more accomplishments under their belt than just telling Batman stories and who clearly have interests outside of just superhero comics, whether it's classic literature, chaos magic, ballet, or being tied up by statuesque black women.
