Yesterday I swung by my folks' place in order to help with an emergency with dad that turned out to not be all that bad.
Fannie calmed down a bit when she realized I was helping dad, but when it was time for me to say hi for her.. hoo boy.
She's learned that licking my face for 45 minutes straight is not something I want, so she just crawls up onto my chest and shoulders and splays out now, nuzzling my head and licking my cheek/ear occasionally.
Today we said goodbye to our family dog, Freya.
Our beautiful pup had such incredible affection for everyone around her. She was playfully cheeky, smart, and had a spirit stronger than any other dog I've known.
She loved us with her whole being and we loved her right back.
Thanks for the 15 years, little girl.
