Yeah, honestly, I could have probably kept going, but I had just won 3 games in a row on a Saturday night. It's almost midnight, and I know myself too well -- a loss at this stage could cause me to be up until 4am again chasing a win that never comes, so, yeah, fuck it; I'm out on my third win.
I mean if Varian doesn't go taunt that's actually a pretty good team for Sonya to tank into. They've got literally zero ways to interrupt spin.

I play with bronze/silver players in QM mostly. So they had a 2-3 level lead because Aba at those ranks don't know what body soaking is.
So jaina and Maiev were enough to dumpster me through Lucio heals.
So, next game I played, 2 of the other players on my team decided to dogpile on the Kel'T for doing poorly. Turns out it was the dudes first real-person game with him.
Queue other two people telling him that he should:
A) stick to AI matches KYS
C) tell me to "shut the fuck up *racial slur*" when I said to maybe chill a bit.
Yeah, I'm done with hots for tonight. No one is capable of not being a giant, talking sack of shit

Yeah I had won 6 in a row that night. We played one more and lost it and I called it quits because I was sure I'd start doing the same thing with a downward spiral and figured it was best to call it a night. GGs though.

I think anyone that has played draft mode for at least 10 games has seen this, or maybe I've just seen this exact story posted on this forum by like 6 different people over the last couple of years.

Did some QM w/Yrel to get her to level 5. Starting to understand a lot better how she works. I'm finding a big key is to space out your abilities to make sure to proc every heal. I had a comically one-sided lane fight on Tomb against an Artanis. Her ability to stay healthy is pretty bonkers and I was constantly forcing him back to his wall to tap or back.

I pretty much always take Ally Throw at 7. It's waaaaay too good and versatile.
Rehgar feels realllly good right now. Might be more that my other games weren't great but Stormcaller and the lower mana cost of Chain heal makes him a lot better, especially since he's one of the few supports with a real cleanse.
So catching some hgc, Yrel is basically mandatory pick for solo lane now?
Can zag or fenix beat / bully her?
Fenix can beat her. His damage potential is still crazy good, Yrel can't outsustain through that. And Yrel herself does not do enough damage to threaten him (plus melee vs ranged).
Zag, I don't think so. Yrel can pretty easily kill her Hydra (save E for that!), and she outsustains any damage taken with D+Q and Maraad's.

You don't even need to kill the Hydra, just jump directly on Zag and start punching her. You'll force her back and then can heal back to full off Maraad's on the wave.
Fenix Dehaka post 7 and Malthael post 4 all can beat yrel, the problem is that the burden of execution is on them.
Like I’ve gotten absolutely wrecked by dehaka post-feeding frenzy because yrel’s fighting style is manfight. But he has to land every tongue. Leoric and Malthael also like that.

Potentially a bad Leo but the one I matched up against as Yrel didn't do enough dmg even with Drain Hope. Maraad is too nuts.
Leo can’t really beat you in laning phase but he’s devestating midgame really so it only matters on braxis/dragon shire because yrel has no building pressure

what is the fucking disease that everyone has on alterac pass that when you're capping the objective you just feel SO COMPELLED to run off and try and fight the other team deep in their space.
it happens in so many of my games and leads to the majority of my losses on the map. last game we lost 2 objectives at <1 second because our varian and yrel dove fucking mega ham into their team and got killed because our backline was suddenly entirely undefended and we got 100% run over. it's fucking insane and i hate it so much.
it's the strongest objective in the game, maybe stay and force the capture, jesus christ.
