Hrm, I have a linmon desk on 4 adlis legs. I'm seeing people recommend this Ikea drawer set that would replace two of the desk legs. A lot more stable since there's more surface area and I can velcro it down. Should be a lot more stable than the 4 scrawny legs? And I get storage space!

Discomfort is currently at about the same level it was before I checked in; mostly it's just been annoying since my injections are done every six hours on the 12 and 6, so I got woken up at midnight for one, then had my usual level of sleep disturbances, then up again at 6 for the next dose. I'm on a drip but it's mostly just to keep my system lubricated; annoyingly the first two cannula points failed (one was a bad job by the nurse missing where my vein curved, second one "tissued" after a few hours) so now my current infusion point is on my right wrist
So far it's just been me sitting in a bed, watching Netflix and messaging folks on my phone

ah, my Crohn's flared up pretty bad in the last week and when I went to see my specialist yesterday he was all "well I think we should get you in hospital for a big dose of treatment that'll knock it down quickly -- how does today sound"
so I wasn't expecting to be in hospital by the end of the day when I woke up, but I'd rather be getting better than getting worse -- the benefits of post-PhD unemployment...

Sorry to hear you won't ever get a solid night's rest while you're in there, but I'm glad you at least have means to keep yourself sane / entertained
An IV is kind of a mixed blessing - being kept perpetually hydrated through no effort of your own is kinda cool, but having a line attached to a bag attached to your body is cumbersome, to say the least
And far too fragile-looking for my liking, frankly

If you feed it video it will give you video

I feel like mostly you feed machine learning algorithms video and then it gives you target coordinates and classification/description?
Or you could have it output text/annotation/semantic understanding (I mean you could try anyway)
There's not too much to use for video in/video out!
Like 'I fed an algorithm bob ross videos and then had it track his eyes so it output the coordinates of his eyes or like 4 frames per second video of the same things but with dots drawn on the eyes showing you it worked' would be reasonable
