I ran through some tier 1 maps and a temple today and my damage and survivability both feel like garbage. I literally gave up on killing some blue mobs because my dps wasn’t beating their passive regen after several minutes.
Hmm, now that I understand BoR lets a 15% shock proc off 1 lightning damage, it occurs to me that I probably need to swap out Xoph's Blood on my (theoretical) build to lose Avatar of Fire. Not much of a loss on basic stats, but I lose Covered in Ash on tougher mobs.
Oh, but I guess I could aim for Xoph's Heart for basically the same thing but a bit weaker and no AoF?
It's all moot I guess until I have $$$ and get past the 'equip whatever rolls okay stats that I pick up off the ground' level.
On a completely different subject...I know there aren't any one-liners in the back half, but is there any unique character dialogue from NPCs at all in the back half of the game?

I bought a 1.6% crit Hatred eye for 3ex earlier, and it would be real easy to add a level 1 Precision aura for some crit chance and that 42% increased damage. That's a good eye.

Any thoughts on where I could use some improvement on Brodyfacebreaker(going impale cyclone)? I feel like I'm decent defense wise, but damage feels a little lackluster, and I assume its just going to keep getting worse.

Assuming you're playing trade league, I would look for cheap weapon upgrades. You can search by physical DPS and required character level -- there's a good number of 275+ phys dps axes for sale for 1 chaos.
You can also invest in a cheap 5-link. Adding any of Infused Channeling, Close Combat, or Pulverize to your links will be a nice upgrade.
Focus on getting your Impale chance up to 100%. This stat will show in the character overview screen if you click on Cyclone, and it's one of the main ways you scale damage. There's a 10% node that you're right next to on the tree already, so definitely take that if you're < 100% currently. You may also want to run Dread Banner.
Aside from that, more life, more resists on each gear slot and you'll be good to go.

I saw zero yellow text.
Maybe I missed it but I usually dont.
Either way I hope they didn't screw you out of your ascendancy points.
Yeah that's definitely a bummer. They announced it as I was going to bed 30 minutes before the shutdown, and I was getting five minute warnings until I logged off with about 15 left on the countdown.
I should start rolling SSF characters so I can pretend I'm doing a challenge rather than being too anxious+lazy to trade.
That's why I roll SSF, I hate trading in games unless it's got a completely automated auction house where I don't have to interact with anyone at all, ever.

Already got despair with Witchfire Brew so I'll probably go for a Solstice Vigil and since I don't need a 2nd 6L I'll probably pick up a cheap ass Perfect Form (for AA) and just roll the sockets (4l/2l).

Still chugging along on my gladiator, bought some cheap gear so now I have a dreamfeather waiting for me whenever I finally get to 66

What are you running. I'm HC so I went Jugg to stay alive and found a pretty OK Tacati's Ezomyte Axe with 450 DPS and although I'm having no troubles (in Blood Aqueduct right now) I don't feel like I'm doing crazy damage. Yellows don't die fast enough. I'm sure this will change when I go crit and when I have more than 4L or if I find a Pillar (which is pretty common in my SSF experience).
