Epenesa is taking over this game and abusing PSU's LT.

On one hand, from the nice comfort of my couch 1080 view, I hate that challenge. On the other, maybe they give you a makeup call for the horrendous overturned TD earlier?
You will be stunned to learn that Ferentz fucked up clock strategy. You don't call timeout after the opponent gets a first down because the clock stops while the chains reset. You call it after first down. Saves you like six seconds. Which is going to be relevant in a second here.

Yep, would have forced PSU to run a real play and ideally make them punt, which maybe you can block.

I can't wait for the new narrative to pop up to delegitimize Franklin. Since he has now beaten #17 Iowa, I'm assuming the next will be "has never beaten a top 10 team on the road".

I'm going to stick with "was twice badly outcoached by the worst coach I have ever seen"

O'Neill I agree with for many, many past sins. But I felt like they mostly got things right (the late PI was um, somewhat exaggerated by the Iowa WR). The replay official though. Yikes.

It is incredibly unsettling to wake up and see that the Gophers easily handled Nebraska, because getting flattened by the Huskers was a regular feature of my childhood
Assuming they beat Rutgers and obvious trap game Maryland, they need to win 2 of the next 4 to be at 10 wins for the second time since the establishment of the Big Ten itself, and the first time since 2003:
Penn State at home
Iowa at Kinnick
Northwestern on the road
Wisconsin at home

Oh goody. 3 conference losses in a row.

Rutgers and Maryland lost a combined 75-14 today
Against Indiana and Purdue
Purdue with like 10 guys out with injuries.
Iowa trying to cover KJ Hamler with an old school OLB is going real well.
Haven't watched much of the game, but Iowa seems to be the better team from what I've seen, tbh.
Except Nate Stanley is bad.
Not really. PSU started sluggish but they've looked pretty solid overall once Cliff settled down.
Weird defensive holding (which we didn't see a replay of, and it's Oneil soooo) our D has been really good.
Georgia better hope that turns into one.
Ppffffftttahahahahaha yeah, ok.
“High quality” is not a term you associate with Muschamp.
I'd ask which ref, but I know the answer.
I mean, in the O'Neil crew's defense (I Know!) they got it right on the field.
Offensive football is hard when you can't block a DT to save your life. Windsor is setting up camp in Iowa's backfield.
Edit: Ball don't lie.
I love the cotton bowl btw. Recommend going to that game at some point. It really is amazing.
ND always gets special dispensation you know this

1.) Alabama
2.) Ohio State
3.) LSU
4.) Oklahoma
5.) Wisconsin
6,) Clemson
7,) Penn State
8.) Florida
9.) Georgia
10.) Notre Dame
You can make the case for any order in the top 6 and it would make sense.

John O'Neill and everyone associated with that game should never be allowed to ref again.
