Hello all, I have made it to Alabama, and so far on my trip, I have eaten at Waffle House, Cookout, and gone to the Jack Daniels distillery.

Now to spend the rest of the day yelling Geaux Tigers at people.

If you drove from Lynchburg to Birmingham it's likely you drive through, or at least near, my home town.

Zaxby's is good, Publix chicken tenders are better.

@Nirya maybe ask the folks down there how terrified they are to have to play a Lane Kiffin coached Ole Miss every* season

*every in this case meaning the 1.5 seasons before they leave him on the tarmac after losing by 30 to Arkansas

I'm pretty glad it looks like Arkansas is dodging the Kiffin bullet because there was a ton of buzz around him the last week or so.

Not that we can get much worse, mind you.

So with USC sticking with Helton for at least another year, Urban's new possible destination is...Jerry's World?

Lincoln Riley also is mentioned as a candidate for the Dallas HC job, which apparently is just a matter of time whenever the Cowboys are done for the year, playoffs or no.

Urban has no desire to coach in the NFL

Update now all the news articles are acting like our coach search is a total failure and we’re just gonna hire the interim coach and I regret this post.

Did you get lost on the way to Atlanta?

Nah, I’m in Birmingham for a wedding. First time down here, so trying to hit some of the highlights.

Saw's Barbecue (in Homewood) is excellent as well as Chez Lulu (for brunch, in English Village) if you're looking for good places to eat.

I actually did Saws before I saw this!

Baylor winning with their backup QB to keep themselves out of the playoff is the funniest outcome I can imagine

So Baylor just nearly doubled their yardage in one play, in the fourth quarter. They're only down 3.

Pet peeve: offensive players need to be called for facemasks more. Edwards-Elaire ripped off the UGA defender's helmet and now that guy can't play the next down.

Burrow is handling the Georgia pressure amazingly well this drive

If he keeps that up LSU is probably unstoppable. Maybe OSU’s offense could keep pace in a track meet.

Of course I say that and there’s very good chance Clemson just ass-fists everyone again

Meanwhile, Justin Fields on this Georgia team is also probably a game changer

You know too bad for that racist fan and irrational loyalty to Jake Fromm

Clemson about to make the semifinals without playing a good team for 360 or so days.

Honestly fields never looked that good when he came in for Georgia. And it would be a huge risk to bench Fromm who is at least very good. Our problem on offense this year is the lack of receivers.

I’m glad he got the transfer and it worked out for him, but I don’t really question the decision to stick with Fromm

OSU's WRs are so much better than Georgia's. Fromm does not get a lot of help when I watch them play.

Clemson’s terrible schedule doesn’t change the fact that they’re loaded and well-coached

Honestly no matter their seed, they’re still the champs until someone beats them

Sure, we just have no idea. An LSU blowout, close game, or Clemson blowout are about equally likely.
