So... if you attack with 4 critters this is +1/+1 double strike and trample to one of them for RR. And it can still be blown out by removal but at least you get to move it around as a 3-mana sorcery?

It's probably too much of a win-more card, and there's huge tension between flashing it in to attempt to win and getting blown out by removal in response to the ETB trigger, and it's extremely expensive protection outside of combat.

Historic equip costs for double strike are 3 (Fireshrieker) and 4 (Grappling Hook, also gave provoke).
Trample ranges from 1 to 4 but the more expensive ones usually also give either +2/+2 or +3/+0 and/or a bunch of additional abilities (Sword of Vengeance, Forebear's Blade).
None of these have been mythic or legendary, which I think is my main problem here. It's a beating in limited but most equipment is without burning a mythic.
It's a (probably more expensive) Temur Battle Rage that leaves behind an equipment. It can do a ton of work, but it could also be super dead all game, and I don't see the combination of decent pump spell and decent equipment being standard playable. Like, I'd almost expect the white sword that makes a 1/1 to be more constructed viable
There might also be a handful of "whenever XXXX deals damage to a player" cards coming (we've seen the non-human card drawing cat) so having surprise doublestrike for RR might matter more.
Either way, there's a ton of commander decks that will love this card, so it's a perfect mythic, imo.
edit: I don't know if it's worth it in limited, but seeing as how mono-color is a thing they are pushing (see Adamant) I imagine t'll slot into mono-red just fine.
My first attempts with 1/1 RDW ran into Elementals and just lost. But then I tried BG reanimator and played two BR decks and got my win.

There are something like 20 levels left in the next three weeks. Even if you've already cleared 15 wins this week, there's still about 15 daily quests for 7500 EXP, and two more weeks of 250 XP per win for the first 15 wins for another 7500.
I'm kind of annoyed by the fact they seem to have put deck strength matchmaking in the event, though. Not really a huge fan of Esper Hero being force-matchmade against Jeskai Walkers or Grixis control every time.

Ideally those would be different cards.
Although in this specific case, Questing Beast is more in charge of issuing quests than the goal of one. It's what sent Algenus and Linden on their way to becoming High King (and what gave them their swords).
