It's a just a naive position of how everyone should have the opportunity to either face justice, or discover the error of their ways, neither of which virtually anyone who has paid any attention to the news has confidence is going to happen

It's wanting the honourable victory in the courts and the polls while not realizing he's still going to be a threat in or outside the White House, or regardless of who wins the election, and this isn't some gentleman's game where he will cheerily accept defeat and we go back to normal

I understand the impulse but it's a meaningless one when hundreds of thousands of families are grieving loved ones over Zoom, being evicted from their homes, watching their small businesses or their families or their futures be torn apart

If this gives the victims some small sense of satisfaction who am I to say no

Boris Johnson had to be put on a ventilator. When he was released from the hospital, he went on a fat-shaming tirade for like three days and then went right back to the same thing he had been doing before, which was bupkis (or whatever the UK equivalent would be). Nothing was learned; no empathy was gained; the infections, hospitalizations, and death all accelerated.

I think there's a difference between not being sad or upset, and being happy that he might die. The former is the logical result of this entire situation being Trump's fault, while the latter crosses a bit too far into revenge territory for me. It's the same feeling I get about the death penalty, even for horrible shitheads. That said, while being happy that Trump might die is not something I endorse, dude has had five years to engender positive opinions of himself by not acting like a monster and completely failed at it, so I'm refraining from raising stinks about it here, because fuck Trump. He made this bed of hate, so he can lie in it. It's a waste of my time to wag my finger at people for his sake.

Also that coffin dance music is a bop.

I on the other hand will be very happy

The whole fucking Picard level idea of , oh no we can't ever wish ill upon those who do evil or we're no better is complete bullshit.

Fight evil, kill it, destroy it, be angry at it.

Also it's additionally exceptionally naive for anyone to think that a rich yt dude is EVER going to face appropriate transformative justice for ANYTHING

Shit, we as a society couldn't even give Brock Turner more than 6 months in prison--how does anyone think Trump is ever going to take responsibility for his actions?

I'd probably hide any glee I may or may not have if he got murdered or something.

However, if he dies of a preventable virus that he flagrantly ignored safety protocols for and downplayed and lied about for selfish reasons and is directly responsible for killing hundreds of thousands of people, well then I ain't hiding shit.

Nobody is gonna hope Trump to death. There’s no moral reason not to hope he dies.

(I say as the very real possibility that he was literally Hoped to death hangs)

He pardoned Roger Stone, a literal Batman villain, also responsible for an unknowable amount of deaths from his lobbying firm

Like, you always wonder how the villains break out of Arkham so easily, and now it's just like oh, like that then

There's no way he gets any time in prison

I haven't forgotten about Herman Cain because he won't stop tweeting from beyond the grave

I'd say it blows my mind that Twitter allows this level of graft to continue, but they've shown themselves to be so completely in bed with conservatives at this point that this is a feature rather than a bug.

I don't think it's moral or immoral to hope a person dies as long as that doesn't transform into action. Like, you can hope everyone on earth dies, but as long as you do your job and help people and stuff, who cares

Marty: The future, it's where you're going?
Doc: That's right, twenty five years into the future. I've always dreamed on seeing the future, looking beyond my years, seeing the progress of mankind. I'll also be able to see who wins the next twenty-five world series.

day to day stock trends are completely nonsensical and entirely ephemeral. A lot of it is hedge funds and such trying to 'create' trends in the incredibly short-term, in hopes that other, slower investors follow behind them, so they can immediately dump for a quick profit. Then repeat ad nauseum.
