I have found you can play Wii games pretty well with a mouse and keyboard in Dolphin. Just as long as they don't require heavy use of the motion controls.
Unfortunately, Punch Out requires you to thrust the nunchuck and Wii Remote.
You can setup a Wiimote with your computer. You need to get a special light bar for it.
Really, I think I just will use my old Wii in the living room. I think I wiped it's storage when I upgraded to the WiiU.
I don't remember if I need to setup a new account on it or not. I modded it.
You can also just use a GameCube controller and the mayflash adapter. Doesn't help with the motion control/swiping games but GameCube controller is nice for some stuff.
Dolphinbar is playable but I found the motion stuff a bit laggy, which was especially frustrating in Other M with its twitchy sections. Wiis seem cheap enough I practically recommend a real one over dealing with that lag on PC.
Dolphin has some kind of alternative bluetooth stack for select bluetooth adapters which might solve th lag issue but I could never figure out which one to buy.
I use Homebrew and Gecko to play my imported games. I got:
The Last Story
Pandora's Tower
I got collector's editions of them before they came to the US. I notice the steelbook is missing a disc, I think it was intended for the soundtrack. I got that in it's jewel case.
I mean the problem is less finding a sensor bar replacement and more that connecting a wiimote to the standard bluetooth stack is somewhat laggy on top of typical emulator lag. It would be ideal if you could get that direct mode working where dolphin overrides the drivers but it only works for certain adapters.
Castle Shikigami 3, Ultimate Shooting Collection(the only US release of Radio Allergy), Baroque. Data East Collection's a fun one, too(Bad Dudes and Heavy Barrel!).
You can actually play Drill Dozer in the mGBA emulator with rumble support.
That game is like $100 on eBay for a loose cart. It has a special cart with rumble in it.
I thought I had it, but I think I put it in storage.
Still, it is great you can play it that way in an emulator.
You have to manually set the override to rumble. For some reason, it does not auto detect it.

You can get a wireless sensor bar on Amazon for like $8. No system required, just a bar with a couple IR bulbs in it.

Oh. Yeah. I got the Boom Blocks.
I have no idea where my Silent Hill: Shattered Memories and Dead Space Extraction went.
For some reason, they disabled comments. Kind of rude.

Yeah. I got that one. I need to play all the way through it someday. I like the style of the game. Very Capcom.
It takes very little space.
The WiiU is clunky as hell.
It is probably totally fiction. Believe it, or not!

It's fun, but unfairly difficult at times, and doesn't really feel like a Contra game, more like an unrelated run'n'gun.
It does have a kicking Akira Yamaoka OST, though.
