Leifeld has a gift at making covers that look neat if you glance at them for a second but if you look any longer you start to notice the things. Like the hoof feet or the fact that spiderman has no collarbones or that Vulture's eyes are askew.
I kind of like the elephant feet/no neck Venom look.
It's what I'd imagine if someone said "This dude is wearing a power armor muscle suit made out of sentient alien goo". Erasing most human proportions and features for more muscles and teeth.
Can't believe he didn't add any pouches to the outfits.
To be fair, we don't see costumes for Goblin, Octopus or Vulture. I bet they're all pouched up.

I don't think Liefeld is really a great choice for a cover artist (in that I think his strengths lie elsewhere), but that's whatever, it's fine, there's plenty of much worse comic book art out there
It does seem incredibly focused on Spider-Man's junk though

I remember my mom bought me like, some Harbinger and Youngblood comics when I was a kid, and when my mom found out it was like, cusses and violence and scantily clad bizarrely proportioned ladies, she apologized to me and I was like "uh, this rules actually."

I'm never sure if the appropriate response to "Robert Liefeld is a wealthy, famous comic book artist" should be "I can do anything" or "I'll never have the chance to do anything because people in charge give opportunities to people like Robert Liefeld".
He was right place, right time really. You can see why marvel kinda tanked in the 90s but I am weirdly nostalgic for that weird ass style? Like as much as Todd McFarlane is a tool I think spawn is legit a cool character design, even if the writing is edgelord as hell. But that movie... The movie is such a fever dream. I'd love a modern Spawn movie where the whole thing feels like it's beyond any control. Like, I'm imagining Event Horizon but Sam Neil is the hero of the movie
