This might be fun
Hey I rhymed.
There's a number where Maria tries to convince Anita that she loves Tony and they sell the hell out of it, but the whole time you're like, "yeah, but all of this for him though?" I know that's sort of...how the source material is, though.
One hundred percent agree.
That's a big ask.../glances at Hulu's "movies less than ninety minutes long" section
Depends on the exposure time.
Rock Band DLC | GW:OttW - arrcd | WLD - Thortar
This seems like it might speak to my interests.
one of my favorite fun bad action movies ever is Smokin' Aces and it definitely has a bit of that vibe
It’s been so long since I’ve seen it and the it’s always sunny version seems not as silly now
Reminds me of the tank sequence in fast and the furious 6, which was all a misdirect and so didn’t need to happen on a highway, and like at least 10 civilian cars are run over just to pointlessly misdirect the bad guy
Lethal Weapon is fucking awesome, fucking awesome music, fucking awesome, characters, fucking awesome bromance. Only downside is the random scene to fake Riggs' death which seems like a reshoot to make the following scene happen, there's no reason for Riggs to be out on that street corner, for Joshua to know where he is, for them to really anticipate what happens considering it clearly isn't planned because Murtaugh didn't know about the bulletproof vest.
The only bit that made me go "hey that's cool" was
They let Ralph Fienes act for exactly 39 seconds.
It's from 1985 and about the Nazi occupation of Belarus I think and it's getting caught up in the zeitgeist it already fell out of a 250 due to fan votes and the internet isn't free so I'd peep it just in case
Content warning it's misery the whole time

Sweet heaven and lord, that was fuckin' amazing.
Simply masterclass.
I understand if people draw a hard line against musicals. I don't respect it much, but I understand
But if you give a shit about musicals even a little, or are even just a tiny bit musicals-curious and enjoy the craft of the movies, you owe it to yourself to see this one
It's probably the best thing Spielberg has done since Saving Private Ryan, depending on how you feel about AI and Minority Report, and the Leonard Bernstein of it all is as great today as it was 60 years ago
Ansel Elgort is a potatoface but Spielberg shoots him real pretty, and Romeo is always the least interesting part of that story. The rest of the cast is home runs across the board, and Rita Moreno made me cry
Elgort is one of those few actors who just have an anti-chemistry for me.* I've still got a hold on West Side Story at the library, but it turns out it's kind of a popular movie with library goers.
*Tobey Maguire and Jesse Eisenberg being the main other two; I've missed out on a number of apparently-very-good-movies because of not wanting to watch the latter.
I just finished watching the 1961 version over several mornings so I'm ready to watch this. I'm excited.

Which is really highlighted by the fact that literally every other actor in the film is overshadowing him with dazzling performances.
He ends up looking like a high school junior trying to compete alongside Broadway veterans.
Overall it was ALMOST perfect represenation of what a story about this character SHOULD look like. Unfortunately, I have one huge problem with it that does not allow me to be perfectly happy.
Corrupt officials are targeted and punished, but the one hunting them down is ACTUALLY the real big bad here, you guys! Do not think too hard about non-super villain people destroying lives of regular people every day!
Other than that, I was impressed with the amosphere, characters, music and actors. As I said, it is ALMOST ideal Batman movie - shame about that ALMOST.

But then I actually see photos of him and I'm like "no this ain't it"
"Adequate" is certainly a shining endorsement for a performer.
I was straining to remember who was The "other white guy with a name that starts with A from that Solo movie" so thank you.
Some day I'll watch this movie, but I still have so many more lighthearted films like Grave of the Fireflies and Cannibal Holocausts to watch first.
This is me
