Yeah, it seems like the stages so far have mostly been static platforms while pretty things happen in the background. I suppose Delfino Plaza could have some variety, but it doesn't really look like it from the screenshots.

Well, a lot of the SSBM stages are the exact same way. Once you get past appearance-based gimmicks, you end up with mostly static levels, aside from a few major ones.
So far the only stage that actually doesn't have any gimmicks beyond the background is Battlefield, and possibly Lylat Cruise.

that's from that fake "steampunk" Zelda video that came out around April Fools this year.
This isn't GameFAQs. A regular member wouldn't just brazenly lie like that here. The correct response is: was it a vector drawing? How complete is it? Do you think you could do desktop sized?

It is a vector drawing, though it started out on paper when I was bored. I was sort of assuming that most of the people here would know I did not come up with the design. It's from Twilight Princess.
I drew it based on the low-resolution textures of the design in the game, so I'm not sure how accurate it really is. I had to guess on what the symbols really looked like, since pretty much all I had for each was a blurry blob in the general shape of what I ended up with. I didn't trace it, but I would have if I could have.

Also I love you Zack.
What format is it? Paths in a photoshop file? An illustrator file? What?
Think you could upload the full version to the interwebbial tubes?

Flash MX. I has full version, but it doesn't look as good as the small version because I suck at life. The lines don't line up properly in some areas.
There are a lot of levels that have been seen in trailers or screenshots and not announced. Like the Fire Emblem level, the Mario Kart level, Snake's level, etc.
We'll get to see Snake slip on a banana peel. Awesome!
Bonus points if you can slip when you land on a banana peel from slipping on another one.
And if this is true, within a month I want a video of Snake slipping his way across the longest stage in the game set to yackety sax.
More like within the hour
I'm assuming Snake will be very hard to unlock, so I'm willing to give people time to unlock him, figure out just how far he slips on the banana peel, set it all up, record it, and acquire a high quality copy of Yakety Sax.

Oh Gawd...
You're right. But that'll never happen....
mntorankusu, how did you achieve that sig?
On topic:
I do hope they have more dynamic stages - I liked Big Blue a helluva lot in SSBM... even if Falco did drop like a stone at times.

Lylat has the damn space ships firing shit.
Fountain of Dreams lacks a real gimmick.
Battlefield changes from day to night.

Here is one a little nicer for a wallpaper if your resolution is 1280 wide or less.

Hey, look at that. They're coming out with a new Smash Bros game. Did you hear?
That's shocking! Truly, truly shocking!
Hamlet will be Hamlet
An ineffable tragedy of the human spirit that still resonates, even today.
Yes, banana peels... You don’t, um…think they’re too much of a cliché, do you?
I mean, when a banana peel gets dropped, everybody pretty much knows what’s going to happen next.
Oh... She threw it.
You’re gonna slip! Trust me, you’re GONNA slip!
See?! You slipped!
I wonder if this joke is understood around the world.
Slipping and falling on your backside... Ouch!

I also love how the banana peel looks realistic. I would have expected Mario Kart type ones.

The one from late last year? I always forget that one exists. I suppose this is probably Pit's level.
