It was from that time when sabban used to just buy random anime and show the episodes completely out of order.

Teknoman/Tekkaman Blade is the very first anime I ever watched!

It was airing on a before-school kids programme here in Australia when I was in primary school, and I watched the entire series start to finish with my brother before school every day

Well glad to hear someone else has heard of it, there's a couple shows I remember from my childhood that I feel like no one else in the world has ever heard of.

Seriously though, so many people were sure this arc was going to be when Shino officially joins in on the poly relationship, so I assume the author is just trolling at this point.

    Chapter after that one (131):
well, I guess Shino got noticed this time around

My first anime memory was some combiner robot show I’ll never remember where, depending on which of the main character bots became the robot core, it turned into a different form for air/ground/sea combat.

    Mind blowing stuff really

I checked out the second Sword Art Online Progressive movie in theaters today. Like the first one, I enjoyed it. I've always thought the Progressive series is the best thing the author has managed out of all of his projects so far, and the adaptations benefit from that. While the first movie focused on inventing an original character for Asuna to have some drama with, this one refocused on the novel characters, best of all Argo, the information broker/ninja. She did not have the voice I would have predicted, but it wasn't bad either. No news on if they're going to continue doing these movie adaptations (there were all of 6 people at my showing, not exactly the level of Dragon Ball Super: Superhero, which had about 35-40 people in there), but I hope they do.

    More spoilery/plot stuff:
-The movie original character, Mito, returns. She has a good character design, a good character hook (she prioritized saving her own life over protecting a friend and is now near crippled with survivor's guilt, regular-type guilt, and basement level low self-esteem), and an incomprehensibly out of place and OP weapon for the point the storyline is at. This weapon design would be reasonable for floor say... 25 in a game designed to go 100 floors. It is floor FIVE in this movie. I don't dislike her, but the weapon thing is outrageous. In this same movie, high level characters are VERY impressed by a duelist weapon with a high strength stat (and no other special properties). Her weapon is a transforming chain scythe with multiple attack modes and a grappling hook. Come ON.
-Argo should have been in the first movie, but at least she's basically the third main character of this one. A skilled and interesting female character who ISN'T in love with Kirito and has her own motivations and interests? She's basically a comet that comes around every 1000 years in terms of SAO character quality.
-Speaking of Kirito, they deliberately skipped a few chapters and picked a storyline that's more about Asuna's development, which is appreciated once again. I enjoyed the detail that literally no one thought to invite him to a social occasion or even mention it to him (I don't hate him, but this is an appropriate thing to happen when he's SUPPOSED to be extremely socially isolated, especially at this time in the story).
-The movies are warming up the Kirito and Asuna relationship much faster than the books, which I get, since they have a lot less time to work with, but it kind of defeats the purpose of the slow burn when you do it this way.
-The movies continue to completely forget that Klein exists, which is very confusing to me. Like, yes at this point in the story he's training his guild to stand a chance on the front line, but why they went out of their way to never show or mention him... I don't get it.

It looks like you can watch it through the Funimation app but it does require a paid membership. That'll still likely be cheaper than buying it episode by episode on Apple TV, and you may find some other things you'd like to watch.

Its funny I only say random episodes of Lain as a kid but it's really resonating with younger folks now, I think it really predicted a lot of the dangers of the internet and is just a really insightful way into the ways technology connects us but also distances us from one another. It's pretty great even if it's fairly dark at times. I can see why people latch onto it.

Onimai did the exact same gag this season, with the early morning time in the top corner and everything.

Also I'm upset I can't watch Precure anymore, because every season now revolves around them taking care of an alien baby. This is all Decade's Shinzo Abe's fault!

The show is eerily prophetic, and Konaka's blogs on the making of the show are extremely fascinating.

You'd have to watch the intro stuff, the Soul Society Arc, and probably about two thirds of the Arrancar stuff. How the arrancar stuff resolves and the fullbringer stuff are almost irrelevant though.

Some of the fullbringer stuff comes back later in the TYBW arc... in the manga, at least, I have no clue about how the anime's changed things.

Nothing super important, though. That series had some major cast bloat and Kubo deciding to bring back seemingly every single character he could think of was kind of baffling.

Kubo's said in interviews that when he doesn't know how to continue the story or end a fight, he does things like introduce a new character or go into someone's backstory. From how quickly the manga was wrapped up, it sounds like he stalled for time a little too often and people got tired of it.

Kubo never knows how to make a fight. It's ALWAYS "one side is winning completely... TWIST I was playing around, actually my concealed power is 10x more powerful and I took all those punches to the face on purpose, as a fun prank!" Repeat that two or three times.

okay so great chapter, Naoya basically being like, yeah it's only fair if you wanted more partners too. And while I think they deliberately avoided her being into the idea, that's actually kinda true for some poly situations and once again shows some level of nuance that is refreshing for manga like this (again, still very much fanservice but it's trying and that gets points)

And then of course, as predicted, Shino is now officially apart of the roster now. Its only a matter of time before Mirika just gives up and he's dating all of them.

There was one point during the end of the Arrancar stuff where I swear like ten fights were happening at the same time and he would jump away to each one with every chapter and it would cover like five seconds of that fight, and it was the worst paced thing I've ever read.

Kubo's worst habit, imho, was this:
    1. Every arc adds at least one villain for every hero to fight one-on-one, with a bunch of extras to spare.
    2. A large chunk of those villains will make their way into the next arc to serve as heroes.
    3. Repeat until the cast bloats beyond all help.

Soul Society? Thirteen captains, thirteen vice-captains, and a bunch of third-rank dudes as well.
Arrancar? Ten espada, plus a bunch of minions. Some (vice-)captains return as villains, and the entire rest of the Soul Society crew return as heroes. Also, the eight Visoreds show up and add to the cast bloat.
XCution? Thankfully small in scale - seven villains, mostly just Ichigo as the main fighter.
TYBW? Literally an entire alphabet of Quincies, because there's like thirty Soul Society characters and they all need a 1v1 or 2v2 fight for some reason. The Visored and XCution characters also reappear, and there's five new important Shinigami, etc. etc.
