Dang I haven't been to any kind of game in Portland in probably 15 years. I think it was a Beavers game? I only ever went with my dad before he died, and we mainly liked going to Winterhawks games on New Years Eve.
The Enhanced Fujita scale, the higher the number, the more powerful the tornado, so 0 is the weakest type.
It's used to estimate wind forces based on the damage left behind, and is the replacement for the older F system which I'm guessing was the non-enhanced Fujita scale.
Did anyone in northwestern Oregon get caught in that rainstorm today?
I was driving home and thought I was caught in flood, like the freeway was going to wash away. I went from 60+ mph down to something around 40 and was keeping up with traffic just fine. I could see the lane markers about 15 feet in front of my car.
It was coming down pretty hard.

Flooding in my city again. and it's only the start of winter.
My parents just finished getting AC installed into their house in Ventura after experiencing last year's heat wave and knowing climate fuckery isn't going away

I assume the average is based on every recorded year so it is updating, but it's got the weight of many more years of pre-warming extremity shifts weighting it towards the old average, so far.

That was my point…just stated as an opaque, non-humorous joke

In the middle of week 2 in a row of both "every day the high is at least 70" and "no rain at all", with the 10-day forecast saying there'll be at least week 3 of it too. The grass here was already turning brown from the lack of weather helping it between one day of rain in the last full month prior and 2 inches of snowfall total all "winter". All of this ultra-rare for a state in the Northeast pre-this year, obviously
Also the week started with me killing my third wasp and sixth spider of the year
I have very much had enough of summer already. Would prefer it going away forever

When the Portland Timbers play a home game.
I have been out of the States for so long.
Sportsball is now a weather condition.

Why is in the 30s in May
Two EF0 rated tornadoes touched down in SoCal this morning, just outside of LA.
The Enhanced Fujita scale, the higher the number, the more powerful the tornado, so 0 is the weakest type.

(At work, really couldn't check and knew I'd forget to by the time I got home tonight)

Look at that lovely 3 day long spring!
(Looks it up)
Oh. Alberta is burning. Yay.
Alberta is burning and there's a heat dome hitting the PNW that is causing a lot of the ash to get sent east.
Looking like it’ll be a warm summer for most of the US.
When that 115 heat dome comes back though....
Yea let’s hope that don’t happen again.

Summer means temps over 65 daily, so I already don't like it. Daily 80+ is some bullshit.
