i laughed at this because i actually have a single dev guy for a product that is our "team". we have various other people that help with analyis and qa work but you are probably spot on! haha

Since it worked ridiculously well for Metroid Prime Remastered I wouldn't be surprised to see another shadow drop tomorrow, possibly Metroid Prime 2. I think Twilight Princess HD and/or Wind Waker HD will be good future candidates for shadow drops (we're still too soon since TotK released for these to be good candidates).

Samus Returns port to Switch
Paper Mario The Thousand Year Door Remaster
Anything Chrono Trigger related - remaster/port/remake of the DS version of the game would be nice.

Also please let the rumors of a new 2D Mario be true.

I've been making a very strong effort in knocking out my backlog that will almost certainly never get completed as it would take longer than any natural human lifespan to complete* - and that's just counting stuff I own physically. I'm currently slogging through Twilight Edgelord HD and not enjoying it.

So of course they will shadow drop the switch port tomorrow, just to make me start over. Whatever, at least I hopefully won't have to hunt down completely useless stamps this time. You're all welcome.

* We're talking pretty much every console (barring very few) between the Atari 2600 and now with PC games spanning the same time range.

I think those are great picks, and one other thing I'd like to see is another / more remakes of classic Zelda games like Links Awakening. Either the original NES Zelda or the Oracle games, I'd love an updated version of any / all of them

I have only played SNES and PS1 versions , but from what I've read the CGI intro not being included in FF6 switch is disappointing and they also managed to screw up the star wars credit crawl as Terra and the imperial soldiers ride their mechs to battle.

I remember thinking the FF6 PS1 intro was so cool and what if they made the whole game in that style.

I guess that would be an FF7 remake level investment and highly unlikely.

I’ve never played a Mario RPG but I’m somehow pained by proxy at how they’re no longer allowed to have named side characters with unique designs.

I thiiiiinnnnnk they patched FF6 pixel remaster on steam to fix the opening credits, and I assume they would have brought that fix with them to the switch version, but I don't know for sure

I really hope it's a proper 2D Mario and not another Maker. I love the idea of Mario Maker, but it kinda falls flat for me on all 3 fronts. I don't like the user-created content because it's too much work to find legit good levels and the stuff that ends up at the top is just very well made garbage. I think that I'll create a ton of levels, but then I get bored after only making a few. Then the pre-made levels by Nintendo just feel like a tutorial for the maker part of the game, and aren't really satisfying as actual levels.

Maker 2 disappointed Nintendo enough that I doubt you have to worry about that being revisited so soon. When NSMBU deluxe like doubles the sales of Maker, its a bit of a sign.
