Erra and Make Them Suffer (Playing at the TLA which sucks, but I splurged for overlooking seats so should be fun)
Sleep Token (I got great seats after sitting in queue and spamming refresh for like 20 minutes, even retail was expensive)
Knocked Loose and Loathe (Electric Factory show which I am honestly very worried for our safety lol, we'll be behind a barrier at the bar.)

Funnily enough, I used to always confuse them (MP) with Weakened Friends. Who are also great, mind you! (And have a great album out on Don Giovanni Records from a couple years ago now)

I think what makes me like his new song so much is how he's NOT showing off. He plays exactly what the song needs. It's honestly impressive.
I saw them at a small Atlanta venue last year, a sit and eat place, and it's honestly one of the best shows I've seen. The multi-instrumentalist they have that plays everything from the mandolin to the saw to the mouth harp is amazing.
I hate when a band changes up a song, you get a few quiet claps, then it hits a familiar part 20 seconds in and THEN everyone has to burst into applause.
And then today this single from their upcoming album dropped and it's a huge leap forward for them.

Speaking of crying, this song popped on the playlist on the way home and never fails to hit me in the emotions.
I like listening to Lifter Puller or early Hold Steady shows because Craig will be all drunk and forget a line, but that's okay because the entire audience has been singing along with him, so they don't lose the pace.
I like shit like this. I just hate when the song is going and everyone has to applaud and completely drown out the band because they didn’t realize what song it was until too late
