An evening

With much work done and free time at hand, should I go out with friends, be productive, or rest up for tomorrow's labors?

Or should I stay up all night drinking courvoisier talking with people on the internet.

Choice made.

Courvoisier Count:
One sidecar, made with lime juice, triple sec, and a generous amount of courvoisier shaken with ice.
One courvoisier neat, drunk with blackberries
One vodka and gatorade
One pint boddingtons
one shuddup yo face

radically different from the other ones but i think it shows how detached someone can become after living hundreds of years in different bodies

don't read this if you haven't figured out what's in kovac's pocket
(plus it has a nice poetic circle connecting him to the Meth in the first book)

I have had enough of the goings out and ladies slopping for a bit ranny

tonight is the night i get drunk on the internet; now i have never done such a thing

    but i will now

as you can see i will keep a courvoisier count atop this thread, the first drink being an elegant sidecar, a drink taught to me by a 77 year old friend who can kick my ass in a one-on-one bike race. he is an excellent man with an excellent wife and i think i will take them out to dinner next week

so please, forward the discussion while the drink goes down smooth

i will tolerate no more talkings of me

what is going on with your lives
i am sure they are ridiculous

forza example: I met a crazy man, henry, who stands outside the WTC ground zero and yells at people with huge maps and a huge bag of money. I talked to him, and gained his crazy perspective. He has a highlighter.

You drink a sidecar with your mouth. Courvoisier is a brand of cognac, a distilled wine product aged in oak barrels. Its taste is similar to a mix between brandy and scotch.

good thing broken angels is kind of self-contained

also good thing is that it's probably the weakest one

(i will explain the spoiler once you've finished the book)

i'm really liking how he doesn't painstakingly spell everything out, but gives you enough information to suss things out for yourself

not even on major plot points, even on stuff like background and setting

at first i was all 'deCom? mimint? what?'

and he never specifically goes and says decommisioners or military machine intelligence

i just wish the dude could write a less awkward sex scene, that's the thing that bugged me about altered carbon and it contines to bug me in woken furies

also yeah i am super-jealous of his literary skill and am endeavouring to match his example

it isn't going well so far because you need enough context to figure it out and you need a novel for that and i am just writing short stories :/
