You know when I worked those jobs I can't count the number of times someone said a customer should suck a dick. Here we have a customer willing to go the extra mile and do what is asked and suddenly that is a problem. This is the problem with modern America.
I'm Bi, which I would describe as queer, but not gay. I'm not super comfortable claiming gay as an umbrella term.
It's just the other side of the binary coin. No room for nuance, even when it's meant to be unifying. The edge of the coin also exists!
I'll use gay in a kinda jokey way because it's reductive, but I also much prefer queer, both as an umbrella term and personal identifier. Feels nebulous in a good way, but I know for some folks it still parses like a slur.
Oh right, I should remind the bisexuals to put a quarter in the jar
Please to explain.
It's a meme about a jar bisexuals put a quarter into whenever they say they're gay instead of bi.
Sometimes I use it because it fits the flow of the sentence better, there's certain pre-existing phrases that I want to preserve in their original form, or the assonance or the syllables or whatever
That's kind of how I use all gender as well - not a man nor a woman, but if it helps the joke land, I'll throw on a mask

I am gay in that I possess one or more considerable deviations of conventional gender norms that are expected of my culture
I have had sex in a Copymax inside of an Office Max but never a Kinko’s
I do not consider myself gay because insofar as I do experience sexual attraction, which is incredibly rare for my ace ass, it is invariably towards a female
But then people are like “You don’t want to bang every woman you see that makes you GAY” and I’m like “well in that case”
Oh and also I don’t differentiate between trans or cis or fluid. If you’re a cute chick or chick presenting, you’re cute.
Not saying that men aren’t also hot, because there certainly are some, but it stirreth the loins not

I like gay as a very loose umbrella term, but thats mostly because I don't like queer as a word even though queer is an actual umbrella term and has become pretty broadly accepted by queer people
But I'm also a bi guy in a gay relationship so on any given day gay is usually close enough which probably also colors my feelings on it
See I'm in the opposite boat, I feel like if I, a Bi guy in a hetero relationship called myself gay I'd be stealing valor.
I can't argue against using whichever term you like better though, when I was deciding whether to call myself Pansexual or Bisexual I went with Bi purely because I like how it sounds better.

I spent years working in retail management, in the outdoor industry, in Utah. I made the mistake of telling someone I was ace once.
Fortunately in my new career (health care tech) no one cares

Both my last job in retail management and my current job working with a bunch of guys that never shook the machismo of their youth. Or actual youths. Some of the dudes in the warehouse haven't hit 20 yet.

am i gay??
i really don't like the specific label 'gay' for myself because i don't feel like it's accurate in terms of my gender or culture, having basically nothing in common culturally with cisgender homosexual males, but as an umbrella term including lesbians and enbys, sure.
is any relationship involving a nonbinary person gay or straight, tho? like are they all gay? or are none of them gay and all of them sorta generally queer?

I'll check the back, and if we don't have any back there I can look up other Kinkos' nearby which might have some in stock
Might also check Kintamas
