Change of plans! I now need someone who might be able to help set up an email inbox monitoring service. Maybe something in Python, running on AWS, using imap?
I've sent a PM to a few people I think might have the right skills based on this thread, if there's no uptake I'll post more details here, and failing that I'll look at it myself once I get the other pieces in place.
Oh gosh, juggling the name changes may be quite the ordeal. I'm ill at the moment, but I'll try to maybe go through this weekend and update the sheet with the changes.
I'm happy to help however I can. I have plenty of years of systems administration experience around Office 365 and ALM tools like Github/ADO. I've done a bunch of Project Management, but I'm not an official PM (ie no cert). I can also beta test as needed.
Someone mentioned that the dice roller wasn't prioritised?
Anyway, I should put down here that I'm up for random scripting/dev work, and also beta testing the new forums.
I only have two priority categories at this point: MVP and Everything Else. Dice roller is in the Everything Else, but that doesn't mean it has been de-prioritized. A lot of what we need is less about general PHP skills and more XF expertise, except where I can have someone else handle the logic and I can slot it into the architecture. In theory the dice roller is a good candidate for this but even here I think there's a PHP library for parsing and getting results, I just need to figure out how/if we can use composer dependencies in addons. Our incommunicado TT member is the current owner of the XF dev license so I've been somewhat shy about bringing on more community help until I get a better sense of what's going on there.
Yeah, that's understandable.
I am irrationally ready to fixate on the dice roller though.
I would have to look at the MVP reqs in order to achieve the same level of attachment.
But yeah, I've got no experience in XF, so I'd have to start fresh there.
I would likely be better suited bug hunting or reviewing, honestly.
If we're running a new survey, I can offer my services for either helping to design the survey or interpret the results. I don't have much experience with actual survey design software, but I do with advising for content, wordsmithing survey options, analyzing results and producing write-ups, and such.
I also like making pretty charts and tables.
Would you say I had a plethora of pinatas?
Legos are cool, MOCs are cool, check me out on Rebrickable!
Crosposting this from the design sub-forum, I have a small request:
We're hard at work on the one-time fundraiser... It's very close!
It's going to include little rewards for each milestone reached, thinking of them is very fun.
Executing them... somewhat time consuming.
Also, creating a thermometer in paint: Suprisingly difficult? Why do I sigh every time I open paint.net?
It doesn't have to be done by a profesional or anything, just good enough for our forums.

We'll open it up in the future again, and obviously, there will be a grand opening.
